Great Place, 15 mins walk from the Arena

Posted Oct 25, 2015
A good balance of cost and location, better for us to stay here and walk rather than pay double to stay in the much noisier city centre - Verona is a must see destination!

Convenient & inexpensive

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Good exchange rate on Euro made this especially good value. Convenient for bus/train station (15 mins). Bit further to town, but walkable. Location not so good for strolling out in evening. Air con & fridge appreciated. Room was on the side & beds were narrow. Buffet breakfast had good selection. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Cons: Rooms are basic. English channel could be made available
Location: Location is very good. The hotel is near railway station.Town centre and the sightseeing places can be visited by walking from the hotel.
We stayed at Hotel Picolo from 8th may 2015 for 3 nights. It is at a walking distance from Verona railway station.Reception staff have been friendly and informative. Rooms are small and basic but clean.Breakfast is reasonably good. One can walk to the city centre,The hotel has free minibus service to take to their restaurant which is situated in the nearby hotel. The TV. does not have any English channel. For a short stay this hotel is good.

Overnight Stay in Verona

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: Convenient location in pleasant surroundings.
Cons: In my opinion this is nothing that requires any improvement.
Location: Canal flows in front of hotel, walking distance to train station. Bus no. 62 a few mins. walk away for city centre.
Situated 10 mins walk from the train station and 20 mins from the city centre tourist attractions, this modern hotel located in 2 buildings, provides an excellent choice for visitors to Verona. Public Rooms and Bedrooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard. My en-suite, air conditioned room was of a good size , was impeccably clean and had all the expected facilities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Buffet Breakfast offered a good choice of items, sufficient to.satisfy any appetite. Staff are welcoming, polite and helpful. This hotel is good value for money.

Very basic hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Hotel is dated and very basic. Room itself was tiny with two barely comfortable beds. Little room to move around and no extras to make one feel comfortable. Useful if you need a hotel room for the opera but by no means would I recommend it. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Ok for one night, but no more.

Clean but small rooms and rough A/C

Posted Jun 18, 2014
There are not many hotels in Verona that are near the train station so if you want to stay near the train station for convenience, then this is an acceptable hotel. It was definitely clean but the beds were a little hard, the rooms were small, and the A/C did not work as well as most American hotel guests would expect. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to some of the attractions in town like the Castle and the arena, but it is also not right next door to the train station either. It is a bit of a walk from the train station, so you might want to opt to walk the other direction and stay at a hotel closer to the attractions.

Ideally located for the train station

Posted Sep 5, 2013
Pros: There is a bar and self service fridges in the Martini next door for beers, icecreams etc.. Help yourself and pay at reception
Cons: Not a great fan of high wall mounted TV's but we only had MTV on in the background (no English channels!) Decor a little dated .
Location: The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the bus and train station where you get the airport bus for 6 euros, and is 10-15 minutes walk to the arena.
Stayed for 2 nights on arrival in Verona and another night before flying home. Reception is next door at the Hotel Martini but breakfast was in the Piccolo. The rooms were clean, a bit on the compact side - but we did have a small terrace!! Only a short walk from the station when you're lugging bags around, and an easy walk to Verona centre in under 15 minutes - but if you're walking all day, along the river and up to Castel San Pietro, and extra few minutes walk makes little difference. We did the opera too. We walked it anyway, but if you prefer, the hotel do a free shuttle to the opera.
