Another Scandic badly in need of proper clean

Pros: Nothing
Cons: There is clearly no engagement between the nordic front room and management staff and the cleaning staff...
Location: Location is good for parking - with a 45min walk into the city.
Putting aside the industrial location (which I knew in advance) and the pretentious 'restaurant' charging fine-dining prices for cafeteria level food - the hotel room had accumulated weeks of dust around all the edges of the rooms and on the furniture. Of course, 'dusts' is largely dead skin cells from the numerous previous occupants. The bathroom was also shabby (felt unclean) and the towels were hard and paper-thin. Copenhagen markets itself on leading on environmental concerns but in my experience, over the past 10yrs, Hotels are confusing 'being green' with ' saving money by not bothering to clean their rooms and facilities properly'. This is the third Scandic in Zealand I've noted this issue with and I will never use their hotel chain again. More generally, I advise you to challenge the Hotel immediately at check-in - after inspecting the room. I'd say 50% of the hundreds of rooms I've booked in Copenhagen are unclean - compared with <10% I book in the US or UK.

Restaurant way to expensive and no airport shuttle is a big minus. Rooms and the hotel is fine

Pros: Staff was always friendly and helpful.
Location: We were in town for a Dance competition. The hotel was conveniently located between town and the event.
Excellent stay at the Scandic. I will return when in town.

Fantastic hotel!

I was really impressed, I've never stayed at a Scandic Hotel before. I expected it to feel more 'budget' but I'd say it felt like a more expensive hotel than it actually was. I normally avoid restaurants in large hotels like this, but I had no choice but to have an evening meal at the hotel and I'm so glad I did. One of the best steaks I've ever had and it was no trouble when I asked for the fries to be substituted for a salad. I was expecting a small side-salad, but I got a huge bowl of delicious salad. Breakfast was included with my room (I think it's always included here) and it was spectacular. Amazing choice and quality of food. I'll definitely stay again!

Free parking and close to public transportatation

Pros: Friendly staff, great breakfast and close to public transportation.
Cons: Shower - either make a separation in the floor or provide a squeegie for cleanup after showers.
Location: Close to public transportation and the center of Copenhagen is reached in 5 minutes.
Metro station 2 minutes away by foot. Breakfast with a great variety and even a special vegan / gluten free section! Only drawback, was the shower which was just a shower curtain to pull around a corner of the bathroom - the whole bathroom floor gets wet during a shower. This seemed to be something common to all hotels we stayed in in Denmark - not just this hotel. Also something common to hotels in Europe is a double bed is two twin beds pushed together - not so comfy, but it worked.
