Great little hotel in the Normandy countryside. About a 15 minute drive to Monet's garden and a number of good restaurant options. The hotel has a restaurant with limited food options, but a great bar and sitting area. Beautiful grounds in a quiet location with plenty of fresh air.

This gem of a hotel is hiden in the depth of the Normandie countryside.Beautiful surroundings and a excellent restaurant.

Lovely and unique accommodations. The staff were friendly and kind with us as non-French speakers. Ate in the restaurant three nights- food was refined and delicious.

We didn’t receive room upgrade because we booked best room by the river. Building is historic and beautiful, new bathroom but ancient building - close to Giverny with many beautiful drives, beautiful propert - loved sauna and hot tube with shower facilities- hosts were very nice

Luxury in beautiful surroundings

The room was excellent a few cobwebs around windows but generally very clean and comfortable. We went in late September so not able to use the outdoor facilities but will be back in warmer times

We had a lovely stay. We had booked at the restaurant which was closed. We were able to eat but there was no choice. It would have been nice if we had been informed when we booked for dinner - which we had done.

Don’t be put off my male receptionist

Check in chap not over helpful, knew we were English but insisted on speaking French on every occasion we saw him. The room we were given was on 3rd floor. No lift. My husband has major back problems and I could not carry heavy cases up stairs. I returned to reception and was offered 2nd floor instead! I told him I could not carry the cases up stairs! He did not offer to carry them, but instead gave us a ground floor room which overlooked the mill and was lovely. Although no bath towels. This was corrected when our room was cleaned next day. Food and rest of staff were lovely and could not do more for us, including speaking English. Resident cat too

The property is very nice. It is a very old hotel and that has its drawbacks. Our room was probably the nicest in the hotel, overlooking the river and a small balcony. Bed was good, comfortable. The parking lot was a bit far so had to lug the bags a distance. No elevator so my wife and I had to carry all our belongings up two flights of stairs (we are both in our 70s but fortunately I am in very good shape). There was minimal cleaning of room in our two night stay. Used towels were left on the floor but they were just put back on towel rack. Overall the hotel is very nice and the staff friendly. I would recommend it highly and don’t consider the distance to the car and no elevator as a detriment. The building is old (but is modernized) and parking space in the hotel compound is scarce

It’s the kind of place that makes you instantly slow down and breathe a little deeper. Every corner of the property has been thoughtfully designed, blending rustic elegance with modern comfort. Our room was warm and inviting, with lovely views and a perfect mix of authentic French decor and cozy touches. The attention to detail was evident everywhere — from the linens and furnishings to the freshly prepared breakfast served with care and a smile. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel like cherished guests rather than just travelers passing through. Their warmth and hospitality truly elevated our stay. Le Moulin de Fourges is more than just a hotel — it’s an experience. Peaceful, picturesque, and filled with soul, it was the perfect stop on our journey and a place we would return to in a heartbeat.

Fabulous!

This was the best hotel of our stay and we wish we could have stayed longer. I loved the country setting and the quality furnishings. It was a short drive to Giverney and La Roche Guyon. The gourmet meal was exceptional. I highly recommend Le Moulin de Fourges!

Le Moulin de Forges is an exceptional rural property that offers a scenic and quiet location for visiting Giverny, which is a 15-minute drive away. A lovely restaurant is on site.

Week-end au calme dans un joli cadre.

Cadre très agréable. Chambre bien rénové. Jacuzzi agréable et très jolie deco confortable et moderne. La chambre que nous avions n’avait pas de fenêtre côté eau. La jolie vue donnait sur l’entrée du bâtiment et donc nous forçait à fermer les rideaux. Le dîner était une bonne expérience. Le service était très chaleureux et agréable. Le petit déjeuner décevant.

Molto bella atmosfera. Camera molto grande e pulita. Mulino bellissimo. Vasca idromassaggio e spa non si capisce se è inclusa o meno. Ristorante molto caro ma i prezzi sono scritti sul menu e comunque molto buono. Grande parcheggio. Consigliato.

Simplement manque de signalisation pour le parking et surtout le soir où se trouve l’accueil de l’hôtel. J’ai dû téléphoner. Il n’y a rien à indiqué. Par contre la personne qui m’a reçu et m’a servi au restaurant et d’une amabilité exceptionnelle, très aimable courtois et de l’humour. Il se reconnaîtra il a une moustache. Bravo

Fantastiska omgivningar och charmigt hotell

Vackert läge, otroligt fina omgivningar. Nära till Monets trädgårdar (10 min med bil) Rent, välstädat och nyrenoverat. Personalen försökte tillmötesgå våra önskemål. Vällagad mat och oklanderlig service i restaurangen. Charmig katt som fick vistas inne i såväl lobbyn som restaurangen. Värt att notera: - elbilsladdaren trasig, hänvisades till matvaruaffär i byn. - svårt att hitta igen rummen, dåligt skyltat. Alla rum är inte i den gamla kvarnen. - frukost endast mellan kl. 8-10 trots annan info på hotels. - oerhört hårda sängar, ingen bäddmadrass. - boka SPA i förväg (även om den infon inte framgår att det behövs). Trots detta, varma rekommendationer!
