Outstanding hotel!

We stayed at the GHP to celebrate my birthday. The hotel could not have been kinder. Finding out about my birthday they upgraded us to a suite and left a surprise bottle of fizz. We had the small but lovely spa pool and sauna to ourselves, possibly because of the time of year. The hotel is no more than 10 mins gentle walk fro the Trevie fountain. I recommend Vineria Il Chianti and Le Tamerici (expensive but fantastic). The hotel will give you lots of great advice on restaurants. My advice is when in Rome stay at the GHP

First room we were given was very small but the hotel moved us and we were much happier

Very central , the pool was a life saver since we have a 5 year old made the trip much more enjoyable for him !! Can’t say enough good things about the staff , fantastic people!!!!

Cons: COFFEE IN THE ROOMS
Very decent hotel in a good location for exploring the city. Most attractions were within walking distance. But to categorize this hotel in the 5-star range is a bit of a stretch. Tiny lobby, the smallest elevator ever and the absence of coffee in the standard rooms was a disappointment.

Rome Experience

Nice hotel , near some good restaurants and within walking distance of Trevi fountain and The Spanish steps. Hotel was very clean and hotel personnel were quite helpful in making dinner reservations and helping us find our way around the city.

Eaten alive!

The hotel was beautiful, the staff could not have been nicer. The thing that ruined it for us is that following check in we were informed that the management had decided no more air conditioning for the season. They said you can open your our windows (no screens) but mosquitoes would come in if any lights were on. The 1st night we turned off the lights and opened the windows. I was eaten alive. The next two nights we kept them closed. Hot and stuffy so 3 nights of not good sleep. Too nice of a hotel for this. Very disappointed. Other than that beautiful hotel, nice staff and beautiful area.

Pros: Location, attentive staff and the balcony
Cons: Room needs a dresser - only two little drawers for clothes.
Location: Location is excellent for walking to many sites - Spanish steps and Treve fountain. Excellent restaurants in the immediate area.
Excellent staff, outstanding balcony. No dresser in the room, only two small drawers - had to live out of our suitcases for eleven days.

Beautiful hotel, great location.

Pros: Very clean, very stylish and reasonably priced.
Cons: The food was very expensive but it was also very high quality. It is Italy so you should not have trouble finding a meal.
Location: Amazing jazz club called Gregory's really close to the Spanish steps, again really close. Lots more, very close.
The staff were attentive and helpful but invisible when not needed. The hotel was very clean and nicely finished. The location allowed us to walk to all of the main sites with no real bother, could not be happier.
