"great hotel that justifies the price"
excellent and very pleasing and accomodating staff. Room had a great view, clean, warm and complete. The restaurant had a superb view. The menu at night could be considered expensive, but the quality was outstanding (at the end, you pay for the quality you want). Breakfast was complete, with long service hours (no need to rush in the morning, because you will not miss it). There was a lady that made a great capuccino (my wife and myself ended having three every morning) I did not miss anything nor can think of anything that could be improved

"Excellent view of the city from my balcony."
The staff was above and beyond my expectations. They were extremely polite. My room had a spectacular view and was very clean and comfortable. The rooftop restaurant was fantastic as was the nightly piano music.

"Good location for getting around Rome. "
Room reservation for three people and we were given a room with one king bed. They had to bring a fold-away bed. Room was very clean but very uncomfortable. Location was good for getting around Rome easily, and it's close to shopping. Not great restaurants nearby. Hotel is right next to Metro stop so there were armed military outside every day. Door man on duty only some of the time - not a big deal just an observation. There is no pool! The one pictured in their marketing material is in the penthouse suite so unless you're staying in the penthouse, there is no pool to use.

"Perfect to visit Rome's historic parts and museums"
Friendly helpful staff that all spoke English. Which helped what with the fact I knew nothing in Italian! Reception recomended a local restaurant which was gave us a free drink and food so good we went back the second night. Room was well presented and had everything we needed apart from no coffee making facility, but it did have a mini bar which was reasonably priced. Would definately stay again.

"Perfectly good hotel for short break in Rome."
Hotel was great, good reception staff made it very easy to check in, also recommended a fantastic restaurant and arranged transfer to airport for us. Room was fine, nothing special, but there is so much to do in Rome we weren't in it other than to sleep! Great power shower, and all lovely, clean and warm! In a quiet area in January, assume it gets busier, but it took us 20 mins to walk to Colloseum and 45 mins to walk to Vatican City. Nearest point is probably Spanish Steps.

"Nice hotel, quiet location"
Great stay although very glad we upgraded our original booking to make sure we stayed in the nicer half of the hotel. Fun over the top decorations which us non European tourists lapped up! The jacuzzi was fun but sadly the shower was pretty awful and the only other down side was there were no staff available for any treatments so we didn't take advantage of the spa. Fabulously helpful and friendly staff - love love loved their local restaurant recommendation.

"Would recommend. Great staff, fantastic location"
The turner hotel is located north from the main train station in Rome. It is easy to get to by bus from the train station ($1.50 euro - buy your ticket from a tabacconist shop or ticket machine at the large bus stop). The trip itself should only take you about 10mins. The reception area is very fancy and new, and the hotel staff are very attentive. The room we stayed in was clean and well kept, although old. But this is typical when travelling anywhere in Europe. As an Aussie traveller, as a tip to avoid disappointment, always deduct a star from any European hotel, and that will give you a better comparison to our Australian hotels. It's only natural as Australia has more space and the buildings are typically newer than our European counterparts. The buffet breakfast had hot food, cold meats, cereal and breads/sweet breads. It was quite comprehensive. Any guest can also make their way to the top floor (via lift to level 6) where you can enjoy a wine in the hotels private courtyard/garden. This was a great hotel, especially for the price we paid! There are also a multitude of great restaurants nearby. Take the time to have a look, as they are the real deal, with great local food and not the tourist trap restaurants in the city centre (i'm looking at you Trevi Fountain)

Pocket Guide: Via Veneto, Rome Boutique Hotels

Made famous by 'La Dolce Vita' film in 1960, the Via Veneto is going through a glamorous renaissance. Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression 'paparazzo' – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers' trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of 'dolce far niente' – idling and people-watching.
