    Unprofessional and demeaning staff

    I ate at the restaurant in the hotel and charged the bill to my room. A few hours later the power was shut down in my room. I went to the front desk and asked what happened. They stated this was their tactic to get me to come downstairs and see them because my lunch bill was unpaid. Firstly, the bill was paid. In fact my entire stay was paid upfront so this could not be construed as some tactic to skip out on a cheap lunch. Secondly, this is the most unprofessional situation I have ever encountered in any hotel in the world. Why the staff woukd not simply call my room or knock on the door if the had a question? Why shut off my electricity and water? This was degrading and disgraceful behavior. When the power was shut down I was trying to take a conference call and the front desk had no sympathy and defended their actions. I would very much like a manager to contact me and make things right, assuming that is even possible.

    Wonderful accomodations

    The hotel staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and had a nice view. The breakfasts were delicious. We were very satisfied with everything, especially the personal care from the staff. The location was good, however, you need transportation. If we ever come back to Vicenza, DaPorto would be our first choice of a hotel.

    Great ROI cost vs. Quality,

    Solid hotel. Clean, yet a little worn. Friendly staff and good location for work purposes. Attached restaurant is excellent as well.

    Nice room, good breakfast

    Nice, clean room with easy parking and a really good breakfast. Fairly close to the old town. Nothing special, but well worth the price. I will probably stay here again next time.
