Well positioned hotel

Posted Sep 13, 2017
Pros: Great staff, location.
Cons: Temperature adjustments on showers, and noise from air-conditioning in some rooms
Location: Shop shop shop
Excellent staff, rooms vary, some with noisy air-conditioning, others quiet. It takes ages to adjust the temperature of the showers, with the temperature getting hotter for about 30 seconds after turning the lever to colder, at a time when there is a serious water shortage in Capetown. If I were the water authority, I'd close the hotel down until it fixed the terrible waste of water due to its incompetent temp control on showers. a two minute shower requires ten minute water running to get a usable temp.

A very convenient hotel, near enough to walk to the v and a waterfront. Everything about the hotel, room, and restaurant were all great.

Location at the waterfront was ideal, everything I needed was right there, as was access to the Hop on and Off Bus. Staff were invariably warm, welcoming, unintrusive and helpful. Although I think the hotel was probably pretty full during our stay, it was peaceful and quiet overnight, other than the last two nights with inconsiderate guests in the next suite. Only possible critique is common in many places - the restaurant buffet breakfast included a marvellous array of choices, but the cooked breakfast Bain Marie never managed to have food warmer than barely warm. However the variety of choices generally made up for this.

Noisy Noisy Noisy

The experience was not the best. It's a great location but the actual building itself is not very nice, very confusing as the hotel is spilt over 3 buildings. My biggest complaint were the seagulls that did not stop screeching all day and night.
