Easy disabled access

Pros: Good access and well trained friendly staff
Cons: Not much
We had a super visit. The staff were more helpful than anywhere else we have been. Brady in particular was the perfect host in the pub and made sure my husband and I could enjoy an evening out. The menus were all excellent and the food delivered promptly and was delicious. Our room was cosy and spacious and the access from parking was really good.

Went on a recent overnight date. Dinner and breakfast were amazing and the room wonderful. A few months prior, I also did their 3 night romantic package; which was perfect!

Things are different

Pros: Nice location. Quiet. Peaceful.
Cons: Stop sliding down the slippery slope of cheapness. My overall rating reflects my disappointment on this trip of all the little changes they did.
I have patronized this place the past five years. This last trip was a bit of an eye opener. They are getting cheaper with the little things. The first handful of years were great. But this last trip made me changed my mind. 1. The little Keurig Coffee Machine is now gone. In its place is the standard cheap motel coffee maker. I missed the speciality flavor coffee choices! 2. The breakfast service in the restaurant was fine but the menu items are now a bit suspect. For example, I ordered the smoked salmon breakfast sandwich. It was this tiny little english muffin with a couple of small pieces of salmon, some sprigs of veggies and some kind of mayo. I was very disappointed in the sandwich both in portion and the underwhelming taste in light of the price they charged for it. I was expecting at least the size of a decent regular hamburger sized bun being used or a pretzel bun etc. But noooo...they really cheap out. 3. There are no proper instructions (instruction card) on how to use the jet tub. 4. The individual size shampoos etc are now replaced with a permanent dispenser in the shower. I actually don't mind this move. Better for the environment. 5. The free bottle of water is now gone. I found this out the hard way. I checked the bar fridge menu listing and prices just to be sure. The bottle water was not listed as a chargeable item. So, I thought the old gratis bottle water was still there. Noooo. I was charge $3.15 for it. Not nice! They need to update their bar menu.

Wonderful hotel. Service disappointing

Very disappointed with quality of service in restaurant and bar. This swung from truly exceptional one night, to terrible the next. Such a shame since the hotel and setting are terrific.

nice lil getaway

Pros: very nice location and a getaway from Victoria
Cons: the take out menu is too limited. have more items so people can stay in rooms. we actually drove to town for food which defeated the purpose
Location: off season there is nothing to do nearby
Booked a one nite stay off season just to get away. The spa was closed but being off season this is when hotels get work done. front staff were friendly and showed us to our room. room was very nice. They advised us to contact if there were any issues. We never had any issues but the mini bar was very limited. Almost felt it was not restocked from previous guests and was a bit concerned I was going to be charged. there was not inventory on it. I would have purchased if there were more items but was not a big deal I have been to the lounge before and it is very noisy. There was some kind of meeting upstairs and it was very uncomfortable on how loud it was. Almost every table that sat down near us made a comment on how loud it was. I am all for loud people but this was 4pm. you need to fix the noise issue. for a nice resort, the lounge is not relaxing. Being from Victoria I don't even know if I would visit the lounge just on an afternoon as it is not a comfortable atmosphere.

Great spot but a few issues need attention

Pros: Relaxed vibe, really nice rooms and facility, beautiful location on the water
Cons: The big soaker tubs in the rooms are great but there was not enough hot water! Lukewarm baths are not fun. Also, the key cards work 50% of the time
I always enjoy staying at this resort, great facility and rooms in a relaxed atmosphere. That being said there were a few disappointments during our most recent stay
