Luxury in the heart of Victoria.

Posted Nov 21, 2016
Pros: Location in downtown Victoria. Room décor and amenities. Partial view of the parliament building at night.
We were treated very well as we attended the cancer clinic. The room was upgraded and parking rate halved when they couldn't give us the medical rate when we asked after we arrived. The room was comfortable and beautiful.

Excellent place to stay

Posted Nov 21, 2016
From the minute we arrived our experience was exceptional. Staff at front desk, in the wine bar and in the lounge were amazing. Everyone was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable, clean place to stay that is located for easy walk ability of the city.

Dear daniel: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are thrilled to have offered you and your family complimentary breakfast in our rooftop restaurant because you encountered some unexpected noise. We have now closed down one floor on either side of the construction to maximize our guests comfort. We hope to welcome you back again soon.

Great central location

Posted Nov 17, 2016
Pros: Location and room design......comfortable.
Cons: Entrance is on a one way street, and confusing.......good thing there is a large sign on the top floor to guide you.
Location: All of downtown Victoria is close......
We left the car parked for 2 days and walked all over downtown......

Lovely Hotel, close to the Inner Harbour .

Posted Nov 16, 2016
Pros: The Suite, Lobby, Restaurants and Hotel décor.
Cons: Equipment in the Exercise Room. The treadmill was not working.
Location: Great location, close to all Inner Harbour Attractions.
We were able to check in at noon and were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Cannot speak highly enough of Chateau Victoria. The Vista 18 Restaurant was great as was Clive's Lounge.

Downtown Victoria Hotel

Posted Nov 16, 2016
Pros: The suite with the king bed and small kitchen was great. The pool was also a nice addition.
Cons: The rooms need central air conditioning.
Location: Located close to the Parliament Buildings, Inner Harbour, Sticky Wicket Pub, Beacon Hill Park, Miniature World and the Bug zoo.
Nice hotel within walking distance of the Inner Harbour, shopping, and lots of family friendly Activities. We needed to drop our luggage off early and the staff was very helpful holding it until our room was ready. Nice touches like fresh apples for the taking every day at the front desk, the local newspaper and a map of the inner city all made the stay more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Location was great and close to downtown. The room was big enough to accommodate a family of four.
Cons: No breakfast was included in the room rate and the price for the breakfast was high.

Pros: The hotel is in such a good location. Within walking distance to everything you would want to visit in the city.
Cons: Some evenings were very rowdy until quite late, with noise from the pub nearby.
Location: Love location. Love the walk to Fishermans walk along the sea path. Lovely walk to the breakwater.
We have stayed many times, and have always been very satisfied. A very warm friendly place to stay.

Dear jones: thank you for your overall high rating of your hotel. We are thrilled that you enjoyed our cental location, but we are disappointed that your comfort was disturbed by noise from our neighbouring establishment. When we are made aware of such instances, we communicate directly with their management team, as well as the local police department in our efforts to minimize disturbances. If you should have the opportunity to stay with us again, please request a suite on the east facing side of the building, away from the city’s noisier core. We will certainly do what we can to accommodate.

Out of date

Location: Easy walking distance to downtown. The museum is one of the best in Canada. Eat at the Tapa Bar - cool local fun fashionable crowd.
OK, so the place is central, the lobby is nice, the cocktail bar looks good, the restaurant is pricey, but who eats in hotels anyway? The room. Good wifi. The smallest wardrobe ever. Had to hang everything on doorways. Dont take room 422 as some kind of big machine starts whirring at 10pm

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion. We are disappointed to see such a low rating of our hotel. If you found that you did not have enough wardrobe space in your traditional room, please consider trying one of our one-bedroom suites. Also, please know that we price our menu competitively relative to other restaurants of a similar focus in Downtown Victoria. We hope you will consider giving the Chateau Victoria a second chance in the near future.
