Excellent staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Clean and comfortable considering it’s an older hotel. There was an unusual amount of banging that I’m assuming comes from the restaurant a floor above us. Parking is a challenge. If you’re lucky enough to find a spot don’t leave it.

Would definitely stay here again! I’ve visited Victoria many times and was very pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel. Excellent location, super clean, amazing staff and food and cocktails were great! 10 out of 10!

The staff, the room and the location have all been amazing ! The Vista 18 was such a lovely place to eat and have a beverage, great service provided. Ending the night at Clive's before coming up to a restful sleep was perfect. The room is comfortable and clean. What a great place to stay.

This hotel location wins hands down. All the downtown attractions were walkable - Legislative assembly building, Empress hotel in case if you wanted high tea, harbor view, Royal BC museum, lot of restaurants (Ithaka which is next door), China town, Bastion square etc. We didnt have to take our car out for local sight seeing (took the water taxi to reach Fisherman's wharf and the taxi pick up point was also close by). The beds were good and the bathroom was clean/tidy. This hotel has a restaurant which we didnt visit but went to the restro bar where we had a drink (only 19 adults are allowed). We didnt use the swimming pool either but got to know from my wife that isnt that big/lengthy one either. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are traveling as a family (my room has 2 queen beds which was convenient for us). There is a starbucks diagonally opposite if in case you drink a lot of starbucks coffee/drinks. Has valet parking and the parking fee is CAD 20 per night (a lot of hotels around this area charged for parking and hence I was ok with that). Last but not the least - super friendly staff.

If you are booking through this app and have the option to select between a king vs two doubles I have been told to reach out via chat. This hotel is great for families but if you are looking for a quiet room. This is not it. The walls are so thin you can hear the neighbours rolling the shades. The rooms however was clean and location is great.

We took our daughter and her four children visiting from Alberta for an overnight Victoria visit. Got a good rate on two suites via Expedia--a splurge, but it was only one night. Kids age 3-14. Perfect location, wonderful staff (the man with the box of toys resolved a 3 year old's tantrum!). Breakfast in the 18th floor restaurant was a highlight. Walking distance to all the sites, including Beacon Hill Park. Family friendly.

This property is in a great loaction for walkig around town. Our room was on the 5th floor. It was nice, compost trash wasnt emptied, so that was kinda a yuck. Noticed the soap holder area in the shower was dirty as well. Other than that the room felt clean and welcoming. The hot tub and pool area was extremely hot. It would be nice if it was vented better or had a window to open. The staff was all very welcoming and helpful.

Rooms available through Expedia bookings are terrible. Low floors, no view and very noisy as they are above the check in area. Would not book this hotel again and questioning if I’ll continue to use a service like Expedia to book rooms as of late always seem to get low end room.

I thought we would have a view. We were. on the 5th floor with a view of a building and a parking lot. Not really an effort to accommodate us. The food at the Vista 18 the first night was sub standard for price part of my husbands meal was inedible. it was obvious but server did not ask how his meal was. Same as his breakfast. the TV program was not user friendly. I will not pay $25 to rent a 20 year old movie. The screening from a personal device was impossible to figure out. and the regular programing was a pain in the ass to use as well. I know this Hotel was one of the affordable Hotels downtown Victoria. This is just room rental and nothing else. The best part of our stay was the Shuttle drivers. Jessie, Dave and Glen. Our stay cost us $950 for 3 days. Not worth it. We will not return
