Harbor Lights

Wonderful, wonderful,wonderful as Art Linkletter would say...to view Victoria and the activity in the harbor. Beautiful at night, the city lights. Loved the walk along the. harbor. Desk staff when we arrived in the evening was very good just full of warmth and information. Day staff at the desk was not as good and would be a negative if everyone & everything else wasn't fantastic.

Fantastic ocean view with downtown Parliament view

Location: excellent location walking distance to downtown
My wife and I had an amazing stay at the Delta. I called the hotel a day before check in to request highest floor with no pets. My wife is extremely allergic. The Delta gave us Room 630. What a view, no pets odor very clean and quiet the only noise is when the ferry boat arrives and depart with a horn which you can barely hear when windows are closed.Our linens were changed daily as requested, bed was comfortable to both of us. Bathroom utilities are replaced daily. Shower pressure is very strong. The house keeping staff is highly commendable.We went out to church and then had dinner afterwards. The Delta provided us with Mercedez Benz van as a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel. The concierge dept is highly commendable.Very courteus and helpful staff. We booked a Club room so we got both breakfast and dinner included. The Club staff is very nice and refills food as fast as it is being consumed.Kudos to the Club staff. The gym is very nice, spacious and clean, pool and spa was excellent. Shower bathrooms were clean with towels available.The Delta sits accross the inner harbor with walking/running trails paved the shorelines. Very relaxing to sit at the Songhee view deck watch the seaplanes, boat, ferrries dock and aboveall there is a water taxi terminal at the Delta . We did mostly walking to the downtown area when we have time. We took Big Bus hop in hop off tour and the Delta is the number 2 stop. The Delta is the BEST Marriott hotel we ever stayed.

Pros: The location, the staff
A very nice hotel directly on the pathway around the bay. Very good for morning stroll or jogging. The restaurant has a magnificent view of the parlement and the bay. The food is good. The staff is efficient and always smiling. The hôtel is very well situated to Visit the surroundings of Victoria. Highways are close by. The roms are spacious, clean and confortable. The view on the Harbor is spectacular, the illumination of the parlement on the other side of the bay looks like a postal card. I would recommand this hôtel to my friend who usually go to the Empress. this side of the bay is very quiet.

Nice and comforting hotel.

The hotel staff were very welcoming, while the rooms were clean and comfortable for my family. The hotel was in walking distance to downtown area.

Delta's are always nice. I wish hotels would get a more user friendly tv system where you can easily find a show to watch. Otherwise good room size. A bit pricey but so are the others

Reservation and actual accommodation discrepancy.

Pros: Proximity, Amenities and Staff were good.
Cons: People EXPECT to get what they paid for regardless of the "practicality" it may present. Reservations taken SHOULD match the actual situation.
Location: Location is very accessible and good. Downtown is closeby and ocean activities are a good visual entertainment.
I reserved and paid for a Waterview Club room with a King sized bed and a roll up bed. The room and its specifics was offered in their website. The reservation was confirmed online and 3 times over the phone. In fact, it is reflected in the invoice. The king sized bed was for myself, my wife and our baby daughter who always sleeps between us. The roll up bed was for our teenaged son. When we checked in, we were told that they put in 2 queen beds instead. Their reason for this, and I quote, "we thought it would be better for you instead of roll up bed". That, however, was not the confirmed reservation. We had a reason for the king sized bed. After discussing and explaining the reason for our necessity with front desk, we were told "unfortunately, we do not have a club room with a king sized bed available". So my question is, why did you take my reservation and confirmed it then? By analogy, when you go and order a large cheese pizza and a small pepperoni pizza (one to share for vegetarians and one for meat eater), would you accept if you were given 1 medium cheese and 1 medium pepperoni pizza, with the reason "we thought it would be better for you"? Sad to say, me and my wife had a very uncomfortable sleep that night.

Was upgraded for free without asking Didn't have to wait till 4:00 pm was placed in room at 12:30 also without even asking! Service is like 5 star hotel!
