Business traveler, who looks for good rates

Posted Jan 3, 2018
Pros: Budget friedly
Cons: Work on the mildew smell, I know the area just suffered a hurricane and the climate is generally humid so I am considering these issues.
Check in was smooth, staff pleasant, first impression of room (faint mildew smell) otherwise clean and the room rate was under budget.

Tiny bit disappointed for the first time in years

Posted Dec 18, 2017
Pros: Perfect location.
Cons: Put a washer and dryer on the first floor.
Location: All there is out there is a mall, a movie theater, and Target. There's a zoo but I've never been.
I love this hotel, the beds are amazingly comfortable, and in 10 years I've never had a less than pleasant experience, until this one. The lady at the front desk was either tired or irritable because she didn't smile once. And the only issue we had was that there are no laundry facilities on the first floor, which was very difficult for me because I was traveling alone with a 9 month old baby, so I had to walk with him on one arm and my large laundry bag on my other arm, up the outdoor stairs, in the rain, to go up and wash. The machines took 42 minutes each so that was 4 spaced out trips I had to take in 42 degree weather with a baby. It wouldn't have been so difficult if they had a washer and dryer on the first floor. Other than that, the room was good, but a lot smaller than any La Quinta room I've ever stayed in, but it was clean and cozy and the TV worked and the shower was amazing and the stay would've been perfect if not for the laundry issue.

Rooms were clean considering there was damage during a recent hurricane. Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Good location and easy access. Would recommend to others.

LaQuinta in Victoroia, Texas

Posted Dec 3, 2017
We usually enjoy staying at LaQuinta hotels but not this particular one.Lots of repairs and refurbishment going on due to the recent hurricane. We were assured that the only rooms being rented out had sustained no hurricane or water damage. The minute we opened the door to our room we could smell a musty, funky odor. We were assured that all rooms had been triple tested and passed safety standards. The price of the rooms did not reflect the level of comfort nor amenities....price was way too high for what we received. We were placed in a handicap room but didnt require this service. Perhaps this hotlel should have suspended business during the repairs if they couldnt deliver their normal high standards. We were extremely disappointed with this particular hotel.

LaQuinta Victoria

Posted Nov 26, 2017
Checked in and the young lady working that night was very friendly and we got checked in. When my wife and I got to our room the first thing we noticed the room had an odor. We could not stay there so we went back to the front lobby. Found out the hotel was still being remodeled and repaired from Hurricane Harvey. We cancelled our reservation and went to another nearby hotel. I would suggest anyone making sure the remodeling repair process is completed before going there.

They are still recovering from hurricane damage.

Staff very friendly and helpful, and hope to have damage fully repaired be January 2018. Older hotel, but they do allow small pets without a fee.
