Great B&B with a beautiful viewPosted Aug 10, 2015
We enjoyed our two night stay very much. The breakfast was delicious. Andy and Lori are great hosts, we loved the view from our room. We saw whales, cruise ships, and many fishing boats.

Gorgeous!Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The room was large, clean and comfortable. Lori went out of her way for us. We enjoyed the other guests at breakfast and the view throughout the day
Cons: Nothing--it was all great.
Location: While not exactly in the wilderness, there is plenty of nature surrounding the B&B, both forest and sea. Point No Point was terrific for dinner.
Everything about our stay was wonderful. It's an hour from Victoria, so it's perfect if you want comfort and quiet away from the city but not too isolated. The B&B is beautifully maintained, with lovely public spaces including seating for a marvelous view of the Juan de Fuca Strait. Stairs lead down through the forest to a beach populated by gulls, geese and seals (weird black slugs on the stairs look like living licorice, not gross, cool!). The breakfast was huge and delicious, and Lori and Andy are gracious and attentive hosts. The wifi worked, which was great because I didn't have phone reception. Lori gave good recommendations for dinner at Point No Point. Highly recommended!

We stayed in JanuaryPosted Jan 13, 2014 on Hotels
Nice hosts, charming spot. Just off well-maintained Coast Highway but remarkably quiet. Approx.14' x12' self-contained room, generous bed, private bath(tub and shower) with own exterior entrance . A reading nook with wingback chairs for my wife to read. Fresh Coffee and Tea. Downstairs is a separate communal kitchen for doing your own meals. Views of Ocean. The other side of the room has a locking door that gives to a hallway down which one comes on a rustic log meeting room. With a generous table and chairs set up for groups. West off Muir Creek, on a promontory with a path going down directly to a private wild pebble beach.Fun to explore, nicer to come right into your own private room for a hot shower and coffee. 15 KMs to shopping and restaurants in Sooke. Delightful sandwich/ homemade bakery in next door community of Shirley. Bon appetito.

A wonderful refuge for a tech-free getaway!Posted Sep 2, 2013
Breakfast was delicious and the quick hike down to the water was well worth the workout to get back up! Wi-fi is available as well as a community PC and landline for those who need it, but no TV, no phone, no distractions in the quaint, eclectically decorated rooms make for a restful experience. A great place to reconnect with others or yourself - gorgeous views, kind people and a relaxed atmosphere to rejuvenate the spirit.

Great B&B, would recommend it!Posted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels
Lori was a gracious host and was helpful in suggesting fun things to do in the area and where to eat in Port Renfrew. It's a beautiful location, not too far from Sooke with a great view of the ocean down below.

Wilderness indeed!Posted Jun 15, 2013 on Hotels
Great B&B, far away from almost everything. Classic ocean view from the spa tub. Great breakfast. Make sure you eat in Sooke, as there is nothing nearby. Paul B. Salmon Arm, BC

outstanding hotel, worth to try outPosted Dec 25, 2012 on Hotels
the surrounding is truly 'wildness', which is very cool. Also, the hot tub is a nice bonus for the stay, the price is also excellent.

Traumhafte Ferien im RegenwaldPosted Jul 25, 2012 on Hotels
Nette Gastgeber!
