Pros: Staff were very pleasant.
We had a very nice stay here. The hotel is a great location for being walking distance to downtown/harbourside Victoria. Also, the location was 1 street back from the main street so fairly quiet. The restaurant staff were very friendly.

Easy walk from Coho!Posted Jun 21, 2017
Pros: Great room, great staff, great location
Cons: Not enough outlets in room. Pool access awkward. Better vegetarian options at restaurant.
Location: Be sure to see Beacon Hill Park, what a gem, and very close. Parliament of course is also a gem, but you can hardly miss it.
My wife and I just returned from a two night outing to Victoria, and were both very pleased with the Royal Scot. Location: perfect for Coho travelers, right next to Parliament as well. No water view if you can do without that. Staff: Very nice, very courteous. One exceptional example: our last day, we were going for a long walk along the harbor. Wwe mentioned this to the staff, and they indicated that if we needed it, we could call for a ride back in their shuttle! Just let them know where we were! (There were limits to this of course.) Well, we didn't need the ride back, but the offer was very kind. Room: Very nice. Little details included having an in-room safe, really excellent lighting (unusual in hotel rooms in my experience), very comfortable bed, ample seating, perhaps the best showerhead I've ever experienced (where can I get one???), and even the laundry bag was above-average. Towels nice and plush too. Hotel (general): some cool features! My favorite was a book room downstairs, nice library to look through. Also, we had a mini-library of books already in our room. And a pool table??? I don't play pool, but not every day you see a hotel with a pool table. One bad feature: access to pool is only (as far as I can tell) thru the locker-room/bathroom. Yuch. I don't swim, but if I want to go sit at the side of the pool, I don't want to walk through a locker room. Restaurant: not vegetarian friendly, so didn't eat there. Overall: highly recommended!

Great central location.Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Location, room size, grounds, quiet
Cons: Air conditioning would have been nice. The bed was a bit hard.
It was our first trip to Victoria and we were surprised to find a relatively affordable hotel close to the sights we wanted to visit. It was clean & quiet.

Great hotel close to all amenities.Posted Jun 1, 2017
Pros: The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Within a few minutes walking of the harbour, the legislative buildings and downtown.Friendly staff.
Cons: Nicer bedding.
Location: Located 5 minutes from the harbour, one has easy access to the harbour. Numerious restaurants close by, downtown is only a 7 minute walk.
This Royal Scot is a comfy, homey, nicely appointed hotel with very friendly staff and a lovely restaurant. Within walking distance to everything, it was the perfect place to stay while visiting Victoria. We will definitely stay there again!

Great StayPosted May 29, 2017
Pros: The two main things that we liked was the shuttle service that was provided and the central location of the holte.
Location: We enjoyed the downtown that was within walking distance and the harbour and the many restaurants that were withing walking distance.
We travelled by air without a car and used the airport shuttle to the Royal Scot. When we arrived at the Royal Scot the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was very clean and the hot tub was also very clean . Because we did not have a car we were able to use the Royal Scot shuttle service was great and provided service to many areas of Victoria that we wished to explore. I would recommend the Royal Scot to anyone. Great Hotel and very centrally located .
