So close to an amazing hotel

The hotel is in a great location, the staff is great, the rooms are very well laid out.
It's a converted apartment building and you can hear every move your neighbors make. There's no air conditioning, and no screens on the windows, making cooling difficult. The ceiling fans move too slow and don't offer much in the way of cooling either. The linens are super cheap (think Motel 6 level). One of the rooms had visible dust on most surfaces. For the price, I would expect way more.

Thank you for choosing the Oswego to stay at. I have discussed your review with my Executive Housekeeper. We appreciate feedback so that we can work with our team and can continually strive to give our guests the best experience whilst staying with us.
During your stay it was noted that you had your do not disturb on your door for two days. During that time we were unable to access your suite to complete any housekeeping duties. Dust does accumulate daily so we like to address this for our guests by offering daily housekeeping service.
I am sorry that you felt the suites were hot. All of our suites have ceiling fans with adjustable speeds and windows that open. Being located in James Bay and close to the ocean the breeze coming off the ocean cools all of our suites down. However, Victoria also has a mild climate and very few hotels have air conditioning as there is not a need.
For the linens we use a luxury North American linen supplier and have used the same supplier for seven years. We use the best linens and not cheap on any level so perhaps when you speak to one of my managers that will be following up directly, that you can give specifics of why you felt that they were cheap
The Oswego is a new build hotel build in 2007. It is not a converted apartment building as noted in your review. It is a concrete and steel building and many of our guests as noted in previous reviews have mentioned how quiet and peaceful the hotel is. Again, I am sorry that you did not feel the same.
