Disappointed.Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: The pool is wonderful although the steam room didn't work. Staff were friendly.
By selecting the rated room that says between floors 7-11 and paying higher than bottom price.. we thought we would get a view. Instead.. we got 4th floor back of hotel view - very disappointed as we paid and they did not deliver. Every day one or another elevator was out and the breakfast was horrid - and btw. its not free as advertised.

Two day getaway for the familyPosted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: location, cleanliness, quiet area
Cons: bed options, doubles are too small for two adults to share
Location: close to the Inner Harbour area: Parliament building, the famed Empress Hotel, BC Museum, short walk to downtown shops - like Rogers Chocolates
Hotel is conveniently located to shops and restaurants. You can walk to the Inner Harbour in minutes and stroll the rest of the downtown area by foot. The room is clean and spacious. We went with the two double beds, which were ok for the kids to share, but too small for my husband and I. Queens would have been better or a King and a sofabed option would be recommended. We were on the 12th floor and had "a view of the city" - the back of the Empress Hotel and the buildings around us. Overall, a nice hotel and room.

Friendly hotel & close to downtownPosted Aug 15, 2015
Perfect location to downtown Victoria without being too close too harbor crowd. Rooms spacious tho if traveling with teens recommend a separate room as beds are tiny doubles. Staff friendly- especially the crew working the restaurant- which had terrific food & nice to enjoy patio. Easy locale to head out for run along trail towards Oak Bay. Gym a bit lacking. Restaurants to try out- 10 Acres, Flying Otter. Quick coffee- caffe fantastico.

Great Hotel Near the WaterfrontPosted Aug 14, 2015
Pros: We stayed here five or more years ago, and it's still as clean and beautiful as we remembered it the last time we were here.
Cons: The only thing that would be nice is if they had a ventilation fan in the bathroom.
Location: The hotel is in a block from the waterfront. Lots to see and do just a block or less from the Marriott.
The Marriott is close to the waterfront and in walking distance to a variety of very good restaurants. We visited the Butchart Gardens and had a great time. Purchased our tickets at the Marriott for the CVS bus and gardens. The food at the Marriott restaurant is also very good.

WifiPosted Aug 13, 2015
Wifi here is the worst I've experienced and they want to charge extra $ for it. They are nuts! Don't stay here if you need to keep in touch.

Excellent service. Clean, well appointed property. The bar is very small with only 4 seats at the bar and a small number of tables.
