Expedia Screws Up

Experdia screwed up our reservation. It was a terrible experience, the hotel was too expensive,dirty the staff lazy and looked sloppy. We could not get checked in because Expedia had given us their confirmation number, but not the Hilton confirmation number. We could not check in, Hilton could not find our reservation. After 20-25 minutes on the phone with Expedia they finally located my information . All the info-phone number etc was all input incorrectly. Finally we got it straight but we did not even want to stay there. Expedia said they would not charge us for the night. Hilton agreed. Now it's time to see if Expedia charged us anyway. All in all this encounter was a terrible experience.

Terrible experience

Bottom line is that the hotel lost the reservation from Expedia and refused to give us a room, even after we showed them the confirmed reservation and after the Expedia rep called the front desk guy on the phone and tried to explain. The hotel front desk staff, Steven, was rude and did not even try to help. We didn't get our room and had to drive all the way home a day early. Worst customer service I have ever seen in lots of traveling.

Pros: Location and it was clean
Location: There was a surprise - The new Shaky' pizza, The Chicken & Mojo's were very good.
Clean & quiet. The bed did sag to the center. Requested a non-adjoining room and was issued an adjoining room any way. Had to go back and get a new room.

Disappointing, expected more from a Hilton

Cons: New beds.
Hotel was right off the freeway, easily accessible, staff friendly. For some reason, we were given a handicapped room, which would have been fine, but the shower was a handicapped shower with only a handheld showerhead. Whoever was above us sounded like a herd of elephants running a marathon all night. The bed was horrible! It had a control on each side to adjust the firmness. One side wasn't functional and was like sleeping on a bean bag chair. The TV remote's batteries died, so no TV. Really disappointing and not a restful stay.

Great stopover in the desert

Fast check in, nice light bright an spacious lobby area, fine food amenities, very nice waits persons, clean well-appointed rooms. Only minor negative was the giant in the room above us who fortunately did not stay up too late nor arise too early.

Very good for overnight stay

We selected this hotel for overnight stay after arriving into LA in the evening and continuing our travel next day towards Joshua Tree National Park. Friendly staff at check-in and the whole process was very quick. The room with two queen beds is spacious enough for a family of four. Breakfast is very good with friendly staff. If passing by, we would stay at this hotel again.

Nice hotel.

Although this area is not a vacation destination, this hotel was chosen as it was close to family we were visiting. The hotel was clean and the rooms were spacious. It is also in close proximity to shopping and restaurants.
