I recently stayed at the ARCOTEL Wimberger Hotel in Vienna and found it to offer an average hotel experience. The amenities and service were about what you would expect from a mid-range hotel. The room itself was basic with standard furnishings and decor - nothing fancy but adequate for a comfortable stay. However, the breakfast offered at the hotel was outstanding. There was a wide variety of breads, pastries, fruits, yogurts, eggs, meats and other hot items at the extensive breakfast buffet. The servers were also exceptional - very friendly, attentive and quick to refill coffee or clear plates. The breakfast made up for any other average aspects of the hotel. Overall, the ARCOTEL Wimberger is a solid, standard hotel choice in Vienna. While the rooms and amenities are average, the stellar breakfast and great service in the morning make this hotel stand out. It's a good option if you want a convenient location in the city and don't need luxurious accommodations as long as you get a great start to your day with their breakfast.

The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and approachable. We were upgraded to a modern room on the 6th floor which had great decor and SUPER comfy beds. One small gripe was our room smelled strongly of smoke when we first opened it which could have been remedied by opening the windows during the clean but the smell left the room upon us opening the windows ourselves. The shower was powerful and clean. Our only issue with the hotel was the cleaning. The room itself was clean, but the cleaning schedule was so irregular. The hotel have a great option where you can go a day without a clean and they donate to a local bee project. We put the bee hangar on our door to signal we didn’t need a clean but staff still came in and changed our towels. Then, the following day we DID want a full clean; we came back to our hotel at 4.30pm to rest before dinner and then had a knock at the door for house keeping… we found this odd, as when we’d left our room that morning the cleaning team were already on our floor. We declined the clean as we were back in our rooms then so saw little point. Then, the following day we tried again. We came back to our hotel at 6pm to get ready to dinner to find our rooms door wide open whilst the cleaner was in our bathroom, finishing a clean. She had the door closed in the bathroom but had left the door to our room wide open; our issue with this, aside from the late cleaning time again preventing us from entering the room, and anyone could have walked

Stayed in a comfort room and I have to say the following: Room is not 4-star by any means, more like a 2-star/ Old carpets, noisy heating system, outdated bathroom similar to a 2-star hotel for quality, no bidet as shown in the hotel pics. No fridge. Advertised on Expedia as having a pool, no pool of course. SPA area is outdated with lukewarm jacuzzi water, The hotel bar was closed, for months if not mistaken. Read some other reviews with similar comments and replies from the hotel were basically nonsense for a 4-star. To summarize, the hotel is nice overall, breakfast is very well made. Room quality is far away from a 4 star hotel like a 2 star one, old outdated just ugly overall and they should not advertise the hotel as a 4 star at all. Staff, asked what are the parking rules in Vienna and got 2 different answers, shall I say more?

Such a big hotel and they have a big bar where u could relax but it’s shut also where u can sit and relax smokers are there no thought fir us smokers Most of the smokers are chain smokers we have to go sit in our room. While they can polute the air they just puff away there should be no smoking at all. Not very happy at all

Dear Joanne, Our hotel is a non smoking area. We have placed large ashtrays outside our covered entrance for the smokers to stand and smoke. However there is no smoking at all permitted in the rooms for sure and also not in the public spaces !! We are sorry if you felt uncomfortable in any way but we totally do not understand how there could have been chain smokers in the rooms. Safety! Couldn't operate the elevator without the room key. conveniently located, close to the train station, shopping centers, and restaurants. I checked out at 4 am, and the receptionist at that time went above and beyond her way to help us to get our taxi to the airport. Overall, we had a good experience.

It is advertised that there is a pool but there is no pool. The reception tried to convince me that their Hottub was the pool but it is not a swimming pool.

Great return for money. Good location especially if you use public transportation. Try the spa on the 8th floor. Compact and nice (jacuzzi and sauna open until 23:00).

The hotel is located in walking distance to train and tram station. The hotel room was clean, spacious but lacked basic amenities. Like coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. The room only had towels and the body wash / shampoo all in one bottles. The staff was friendly and eager to assit.

Not a 4 star quality hotel. No upgrade even though I am gold member. Two twin beds, when I pushed together there was trash on the floor where the bed was. Question with cleanliness. There was a party outside my window in the outside bar. Kept me up late.

The location of the hotel is great. It’s only 5 minutes walk from the metro station, which is also connected to the bus station and train station. The big bus tour stop is about 10 minutes walk by Ibis Hotel. The breakfast is amazing. It comes with a variety of choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were able to change our old room on request. The old room we got first had an old carpet and a malfunctioning thermostat (which continued to heat up the room). The new room had an upgraded furniture, new carpet and better working thermostat. The downside of the rooms is absence of coffee maker and electric kettle for hot water. The main elevators need an upgrade as well. Several times the doors would close immediately right in front of my face separating me from the rest of the family. There is no automatic sensors.

Good transport links only a few minutes walk away. Stayed in a comfort room, which turns out is their basic room. In saying that it IS still supposed to be a 4 star hotel but there are zero tea and coffee facilities in the room, no fridge or mini bar, an aircon that is basically useless as the central temperature is controlled by the hotel. Room was hot, when we asked if they could do anything, staffs answer is to shrug their shoulders, told us they have set the temperature for winter (temp was in the 20s outside, winter? I think not) and told us to open the windows. We’re in a room on the 1st floor facing the main road, no one could sleep through that noise. We won’t be back.

The location is practical as it is very close to Westbanhof. Reception has an old look the the rooms are in very good order (must have been renovated) true to the photos. The mattress was too soft - not so comfortable, the pillow and blanket were great. Good service

The hotel is nice and well kept. Everybody is very helpful. It's really close to the metro station, one to the right and one to the left. We used the one on the left ( leaving the hotel ) and there is a mall just across the street. We found there a nice pasta / pizza place and there is also a grocery store on the bottom floor. We got a two room place and it was very nice to have all that space. They have a fussball machine and a Xbox. Breakfast was pretty good, plenty of hot and cold food.

Was a great stay. Public transportation was very close so it was easy to get to Schönbrunn palace or to the city center. Breakfast was good and bed very comfortale and room very quiet. Hotel has also for their guests small relaxing place with gym, 2 saunas and a little jacuzzi (its okey if theres not many people).
