Almost perfect

Posted May 20, 2017
Pros: Quiet , reception staff and area helpful.
Cons: Pillows could have done with instructions for microwave
Location: Location on north east corner of the city near Donna Canal. 20 miinute walk to centre and 15 minutes to the main railway station.
Hotel was easy to find , and good position for city. 2 minor issues, pillows were really lumpy and we had an inside apartment so grey concrete outlook. But overall good.

Nice hotel close to station and city centre

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Include dining table and dish washer to room.
Location: Not much in vicinity of hotel, so you need to walk about 15mins to city centre for anything that's interesting.
Clean and comfortable aparthotel close to station and walkable distance to city centre. As a seasoned user of Adagio hotels, I expected the room to include a dish washer, but it doesn't include one. Not much space to dry the dishes. No proper dining table other than the desk which faces the wall, so not very practical for 2 people dining at same time.

Dear Nick, many thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate hearing your experience. The Aparthotel Adagio Vienna has differents categories. The small studio unfortunately has not the space providing dishwasher and a bigger table. We are really sorry for this and hope you will give us a new chance. Meanwhile I wish you a good time. Best regards from Vienna Martina Richard, General Manager

Excellent and close to the center

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Pros: Great location, very friendly and helpful stаff, comfortable room.
Cons: The mattress and pillows were not so comfortable, at least for me and my wife. The equipment of the gym is worth to fix or replace.
Location: Excellent location, only a few minutes to the city center by walk.
We were staying (me and my wife) 5 days in this hotel and really enjoyed. First of all the location of this hotel allows you to get to the famous sites on foot. The staff of the hotel is very pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable.

There was no daily housekeeping-- they said it was because it was an "apartment hotel," and that no housekeeping was indicated in the contract-- that turned out to be true except that I never got the "contract" until after I had paid the full non-refundable cost of my stay. I'm not sure if this significant oversight was the fault of Aparthotel Adagio or of hotels.com, but this lack of upfront information was frustrating to say the least. Other than this described oversight, Aparthotel Adagio was well-located, had friendly staff, had a nice spacious bathroom, an in-room safe, and even had a very nice/clean sauna in the basement. By the way, they did offer daily housekeeping at an additional 18€ per day, but this was no where indicated on their website or on the website of hotels.com.

Location is verry good

Posted Jan 8, 2017
This is more of an apartment hotel with a reception desk so don't expect luxury treatment. However for the price and the location it is a definite bargain. Room is big; clean and it more like a studio apartment. No room service and breakfast is not good and too expensive. But the location of this and price makes it totally worth it. It's 15 min walking to the central of vienna and the tram station in from of the hotel allows you to reach any place in the centre very quickly even on bad weather. Also if you book sightseeing it is part of the hotels where they pick you up and drop you off at the hotel so it is a bonus. The price is very good as it is about 10-15% cheaper than any central hotel so really worth it especially on long stays where you don't want to break the bank

Ideally situated, reasonably priced hotel

Posted Dec 8, 2016 on Hotels
The staff were excellent: nothing was too much trouble and their service was always accompanied by a very pleasant smile. Good points: access via Tram no 2 to City centre south and a 10 minute walk (at most) to Mitte Station for connection to the airport. Handy for underground system. Supermarket across the road; also an interesting Korean restaurant. Weaknesses: service of the room could be better i.e. emptying the bins and replacing towels; email unobtainable on a laptop - but there was a free to use machine in the hotel dining room. Why don't hotels put two easy chairs in a double room? Nevertheless we would certainly stay here again.

Choose your room size carefully

Posted Nov 30, 2016 on Hotels
There is much to like about the Adagio - it is in a good location, close to trams and subway. The kitchenette was well equipped, and there is a supermarket ( Billa) only about 100 yards away. Our only disappointment was the description of the rooms given in Hotel.com. We were a group of 5 adults, and I had booked two one-bedroom apartments, which were described as having two double beds in each. In fact, there were two singles in the bedroom, and the other "bed" was the sofa in the lounge. I don't fault the Adagio - this is a Hotel.com problem. I later found that other booking sites describe the accommodation accurately. It's just that I spent a lot of time to choose accommodation to meet our needs - so I was disappointed to have been misled. Setting that aside I am very happy to recommend the Adagio - especially for its convenient location.

Nice Hotel. Convenient to Central Vienna

Posted Nov 30, 2016
Pros: CLEAN, AND A GREAT AREA. EASY TO FIND AND NICE LOCATION OVERLOOKING THE CANAL.
Cons: The heat in the room, which when we complained the staff said they knew, but couldnt do anything about it. I find this hard to believe.
Location: GREAT LOCATION. Easily walkable to central area, buses, trams and tubes.
Lovely hotel, easy to find when getting lost in Vienna. Rooms lovely, clean and great showers. However, the room was unbearably hot. Too hot and unhealthy, as you could hardly breath at night and my husband ended the holiday with an horrendous cough. We asked to open window but was told we wasnt allowed to. We complained everysingle day, of our four day stay to the woman at the desk (who I might add was not a helpful front desk). When I asked questions of where to go and how to get there, she just said... "go to your room and use the wi-fi"!! We nearly missed out on a day trip to Salzburg because she was so unhelpful. Fortunately a cab to the Tourist Info, saved the day., On booking out, we advised that we liked the hotel, but hated the heat in the room and the same women said... "why didnt you ask me for an upgrade, where you can open the windows!!!! I couldnt believe my ears. Having complained to her, several times. The young gentleman at the desk tried to be helpful, but she interrupted him to tell us to "use our room". We were disappointed that the taxi we had telephoned to arrange and emailed to confirm, did not arrive and the very nice young girl on arrival told me that she would arrange for the manager, who we had arranged it with to contact me, on the monday. However, she didnt. All in all a lovely hotel, clean and in a great area. However, unfortunately the other lady on the desk needs some tourist/customer care training.
