Friendly owners
The hotel is family owned and the owners are quite friendly. The building is a little old but tidy and rooms are quite spacious.

有提供late checking，雖然沒見到飯店主人，但可用密碼鎖；小可惜是飯店主人英文不是很好，所以有一些小小地比手畫腳，但整體房間算大 & 有廚房可使用。

We were given a larger than expected room which was warm and clean. Nearby an excellent restaurant served pizza and there is a supermarket at the end of the road. The centre of Vienna is a 25 min walk but easy enough to access the Museum Quarter and most of the main attractions.

Business trip stay Nov 2018
Stayed at this reasonably priced hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Large room with a very comfortable bed. A basic en suite bathroom but with good water pressure for a decent shower. Located on a quiet side street which helped for a good night's sleep. Optional breakfast was a little too basic for my UK tastes but on a one night stop over it was fine. If staying longer I would have hoped for a choice for a hot breakfast. Happily arriving late evening there were several bars and restaurants still open just down the road including a decent pizzaria which is always a bonus. The hotel offers a airport transfer service which I used and was good. Overall would stay again.

Apartment Hotel with Parking
Booked the hotel as a transit point for a road trip across Vienna to Germany. The hotel provides free parking which was one of the criteria we selected it. The place was located in the northern park of the city, in a residential area which is a little more quiet than the tourist area. There are train stations and tram station close by, which is in walking distance. There are 3 supermarkets in walking distance and a selection of restaurants to pick including Mraz and Sohn which is a 2 star Michelin place. We booked a full apartment for our group of 4 that includes 2 bedroom and a kitchen. There are heaters, but no aircon which made the summer Vienna a little hot, but bearable. Aircon is not common in European hotels so it is not uncommon. A small issue with the room is that there is only one toilet may not be adequate for 4 people during morning times. The check-in process had not been the most smooth due to the limited hours that the check-in is open. However the hotel management has contacted our party earlier to explain how to deal with late check-in so it wasn't an issue. The staff there was friendly and explained about many attractions nearby. There is an additional cleaning fee and city tax that is collected separately which is stated in the terms, but may be surprising one did not read about the details. There is adequate parking space inside the premise, but the entrance can be a little small if you driving a larger car (e.g. SUV class).

Worst for both world - not a hotel or an apartment
The most annoying issue with the hotel is its misleading practice. It advertised for free parking, but it turned out free parking only for the day of arrival. It also advertised for a kitchen, but it would charge you 30 euros if you use the kitchen. The management is not on site. If you forget your key, you will be charged 30 euros to have the door unlocked. No clean towels were provided over three nights of stay. The floor creaked with every move - couldn't do anything without waking wife up. In summary, it is worst for both world - you lose the convenience of the hotel, and you don't get the amenities of an apartment.

Nice room/apartment in Vienna
Great staff, very established business. Dated but charming hotel has apartments and rooms with kitchenettes, in a combined residential neighborhood with groceries, shops, and pubs. Parking is included! Perfect place for those spending more time in town, but need a comfortable place to sleep and park an automobile. And, there is a biergarten as well -

Convenient apartment-hotel for families.
The hotel is not central but it is conveniently located near a metro stop and a tram stop. We liked the fact that the accommodation we booked was like a little apartment (with kitchen etc.). We did not like the fact that we were informed about the 30 euros extra charge for using the kitchen, only once we submitted the payment via Expedia. Another unfair thing was the fact that we were informed about an extra charge of 34 euros (city tax, and cleaning fee) only after we payed Expedia, again , very unjust - we will opt for something different than Expedia to book our next stay.

Manager was helpful and very nice. The place was clean, spacious and reasonably priced. Our stay was great and we felt welcomed. The manager also spoke English which was great. I would definitely stay there again.

I would recommend this hotel
Feeling comfortable during my stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen was clean. Very close to public transportation. Around 45 min. walking distance to the old city.

Day trip to Vienna
Very spacious apartment of large bedroom, sitting room & fully fitted kitchen with dining area. Comfortably fits 4 persons. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Car park inside the hotel courtyard. Did not explore the area around the apartment but it's a short walk to the metro station with easy connection to the centre & main tourist attractions. Would like to visit again.

Good value for money!
A very nice hotel offering spacious rooms and apartments. Clean and comfortable, but a bit away from the town centre and main tourist attractions. Vienna is however very easy to move around either by underground, buses or trams so it's not a big disadvantage.

More than expected
We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. We chose this hotel because of free parking, price and closeness to the city center. We got all that we expected and even more. The room was very clean and very good equipped. Also, the size of the apartment was very big with several sofas. There is a groceries shop nearby. Overal, it was great and we will stay there next time in Vienna.

We had plenty of space for our group of three, however we had two groups of single beds pushed together instead of individual beds. The hotel is quite small, but the rooms are big and the staff made sure that we would be able to get into our room despite arriving after hours, which was very much appreciated. They also let us park our rental car in their lot for the entire following day, leaving us free to explore the city on foot and on public transit. Overall, we had a great experience.

Great place but here's the lowdown
First of all, I am leaving a review for Apartment #12 at Marien-Hof. This place rents out several apartments, so my review is only for #12. It is a very large 2 bedroom apartment with living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The room was very clean. Spotless. There was a smell of cigar smell in the main living room. The listing said there was air conditioning and this is partially true. There is an air conditioning unit in the front living room but not in either bedroom. This makes for hot nights and was a bit of a downer. Thankfully, it wasn't a heat wave during the days in August that we were there. The shower is more like a bathtub with a shower head attached, though it doesn't adjust for you to stand under it so you have to hold the head the whole time, or you'll wet the entire floor. For those guests used to having washclothes, you will need to bring them as you are only given a hand towel and regular towel. There is free parking in a garage, which is great, but if you have a very large car, it is a bit of a squeeze getting through the gate. Finally, you will need to know that when you book through hotels.com, they put a hold with your credit card, but do NOT charge you with the card. You will have to pay CASH IN FULL when you check out and this is only in Euros. There was major confusion when checking out concerning this issue. So... overall, you won't get a bigger place in Vienna that is within walking distance to the Ubahn for this price.

Vienna not as I experienced it before
I've been to Vienna several times, but always stayed in the city center. This time, I thought to be different and was presently surprised. This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel, so if you are expecting to be pampered, spend your money elsewhere. If you are looking to have a large room, free parking, and not break your budget, then look no further. There are good eating establishments within 5 min walk and a grocery store 200 meters away. If I go to Vienna again, I'll save the money and stay here again!

One night spot, everything we needed and more.
The apartment was equipped with everything you could need. It would be a great place to spend a week or month. We took public transport into the city center and then enjoyed a nice walk along the river to get back. Either way was pretty convenient, and the free parking was a huge plus for us. It only took us about 30 minutes (no traffic) for us to get to the airport the next morning....so overall it was perfect.

Room was on the 3 floor and Internet signal was weak. Hotel manager was arrogant and condescending when I asked for help getting on line. Of course his signal was strong as the router was on his floor. Bathroom was small, but was clean. Shower hose holder was broken so taking a normal shower was not possible. Lighting in bathroom was poor. Beds were comfortable. Didn't like the fact that you had to pay by cash, seems like they are not that small and should have taken credit cards.

The MarienHof is fine; the second bed for a two person stay when not a couple is out in the kitchen/living space, so a bit inferior to the master bedroom. It's a bit tricky to get too and from, needing lots of underground switches to get from the VIC for example or the town centre, and/or a tram ride (the 5). Payment by cash only is a pain, as the nearest ATM is a good 5/10 min walk away - what if it had no cash on check-out morning?? Wifi is fairly good. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment.

A very pleasant hotel. The room was well kept, spacious and nicely decorated. The only downfall was some of the water leaking on the floor from a shower when used. There are not many shops and restaurants in the area. However, one can get to the centre quickly with the use of a metro nearby. Overall, we had a lovely stay and will definitely recomend it.

The appartment was large and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent - close to lots of restaurants and shops and only 15 minutes cycling (or underground) from the city centre and main sights. The bed was old and far too soft but this is my only criticism. Excellent value for money and a wonderful week's holiday.

Best place to start to explore Vienna if you travel by car for no money !
First - communicate by email . The reception in the building not 24/7 but email monitored 24/7 . Even if you late and made an arrangement your keys will wait for you . Room is clean and pretty big ( by European standards ) . Bathroom was cozy but absolutely clean and functional . Free parking - save at least 15-30 Euro per night . Location-location-location . About 5 min. walk to the nearest subway ( U6 - Jagerstrasse ) , less than 6 euro ticket for the 24 hours for the all public transportation - and you all set to explore the one of the beautiful city in the world . Stuff was absolutely amazing and helpful . Free internet had some speed issues but it was OK to retrieve emails . And - it was not mentioned on Expedia - they have no credit card facility on site so -bring the cash ( thanks they really not expensive !!! )

This was a great apartment hotel
For a longer stay this was ideal. 5 minute walk to train to all parts of Vienna. Trams run from the end of the street to many destinations. Suburban shopping at the end of the street also with banks, etc. Quiet neighbourhood with supermarket just around corner for supplies. Standard continental breakfast available if required but with a full kitchen it was more practical to make our own for the 10 days. Cafes and fast food within easy walking distance and streets well lit at night.
