Check in was really easy even without a front desk. Owners very responsive to emails. The chocolates and bottle of wine with Christmas card on the table was a really nice welcome gesture. The location of this place was excellent - close to the train but also easy walking distance to the city. There were written instructions for the wifi, in the apartment, which was very helpful. On check out, we needed to store our luggage until late afternoon and a secure locked area in the building was made available for this purpose, which we appreciated hugely. The following issues were disappointing but could be easily fixed with better quality control.

The toaster didn't work.
No instructions for using the washing machine
Previous occupants rubbish still in the bathroom bin

Sink plug in the bathroom is broken
Filter coffee machine was not that clean and there were no papers for it so we couldn't even make a coffee when we got there. (we left our filter papers there for the next guests).
The bed linen is thin and shabby with the bottom of the duvet covers not being able to be closed. The pillows are very small and thin.
Pretty much all of this could be easily fixed and attention to these details would have made a big difference to my review.
