DisappointingPosted Aug 20, 2016
Pros: Location was excellent
Cons: convert room 18 to a cupboard
Had high expectations for this hotel after reading the reviews and seeing the pics. On the positive side only seconds from Stephansplatz station in the city centre so a brilliant location. The staff I encountered were all polite and friendly and seem happy and proud to work at the hotel. However my room was a different matter, more like a cupboard than a room. As you enter the room the bathroom is on the right, very clean with a shower but very small, I am skinny but still struggled in the bathroom not to keep knocking against walls and furnishings. Towels supplied is 1 thin towel, a bath towel also thin but not as big as I am used too and a floor towel, I think. The floor is wood, you need to go down 5 steps into the main room, don't do this with wet feet as you will slip like I did. The view from the room is the air con units so very little natural light enters the room, a great view of the bins though ! The bed although small is comfortable, free wifi which was quite fast. The biggest issue is with the noise, the room is above the kitchen and they seem to start around 6am with all sorts of banging, no chance of a lie in especially as there was banging which sounded like building work being done up to 10.30 pm. When I complained it stopped, not sure if it was the hotel having work done or not. Great location, clean room just could be bigger and quieter, my room was room 18.

nice hotel in city centrePosted Aug 6, 2016
Pros: very clean and well presented , staff were all very polite and helpful ,plentiful breakfast buffet ,room was excellent
Cons: coffee making facilities in room would be nice
Location: right next to cathedral square and 5 / 10 mins walk from most central attractions and market -
very enjoyable 6 nights stay sight seeing and day tripping - city centre is beautiful - Mauthausen was sobering - trip on Danube was relaxing after Wachau Valley wine tasting - prices reflected that we were in a capital city . I was surprised how common the English language is .all in all would recommend Austria as a place to visit

VERY COMFORTABLE, CLEAN, AND CONVENIENTPosted Jul 13, 2016
This small hotel is near the Spanish Riding School and other attractions as well as cafes and shopping. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with air-conditioning and a mini-bar.

Very nice hotel with excellent positionPosted Jul 12, 2016
Pros: Room cleanliness
Cons: Rooms could have been a bit bigger but for downtown Vienna I guess it's ok
Location: Very nice location, all downtown attractions are within walking distance juste grab a downtown map at the Front desk and you're ready to go.
The hotel is very nice and right in the middle of everything, a lot of objectives to visit are within walking distance. Rooms are very clean, staff very curteous and ready to help. Free breakfast in the morning is convenient and adds to the pleasant experience.

Excellent locationPosted May 30, 2016
Located at 2 blocks from the subway, and surrounded by restaurants and shopping stores. Unfortunately, the room air conditioning was not functioning, and the bed was very firm.

Hot BoxPosted May 26, 2016 on Hotels
Extremely small room, facing the alley, which allowed you to wake to the sound of trash collection at 0630 each morning. When I laid in the room's bed, I could out stretch my arm's and touch the opposite walls' of the room. Hotel advertises air conditioning but only turn it on periodically. I awoke in a sweat for three of the four days which I booked the room for. If I have occasion to return to Vienna, I would gladly pay a higher price for a good nights sleep at a different hotel.
