A fantastic experience on the Danube

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: It met the usual standards expected with the Hilton name in terms of room etc. but the staff were fantastic.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Our destination was the Kaisergruft or Imperial Crypt. We also visited the Cathedral, Belvedere Palace, Hofberg Palace and went to a concert
On arrival the hotel staff were very friendly, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. there was a large selection for breakfast. As the hotel is quite a walk from the main City Centre of Vienna, the hotel staff were very knowledgeable about the underground system and offered lots of advice and, when we were caught out by the weather, umbrellas! A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Great hotel close to U-Bahn station

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: Beds, room, staff, food and general look of hotel.
Cons: Only downside was rather poor Wifi connection (can pay for upgrade, but....)
Location: Slightly out from city centre - by Donau/Danube canal - but everywhere in the city is easily accessible due to the efficient transport system.
Stayed here for 4 nights with family. Fabulous room, really comfy beds and the breakfast is as good as you will get anywhere. All the staff - front desk, housekeeping and restaurant - were really friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

-Hotel staffs customer service were above and beyond our expectations. Special mention to the receptionists who were always on smile and ready to accommodate every inquiry we had. Truly, we got the best frontline service from them. Also, I salute the hotel security guards for going extra miles in giving us a 5 star, awesome help. They were very welcoming from day 1 until we checkout. - hotel accommodation gave us a very comfortable stay. (clean room, tea and coffee available, towels and toiletries , bed and pillow sheets is changed daily upon request, large tv, fast wifi, room heater/fan) - ambiance in and out was superb

Great hotel , best price/consumer utility ratio

Posted Apr 17, 2017
Pros: Spacious room, comfortable bedding, price/quality ratio.
Cons: wifi might be free not only in public areas.
Location: close to metro station and shopping mall
My wife and I enjoyed staying 5 nights at this very hotel in Vienna. Spacious room (standard) with 2 queen-size beds with comfortable matrasses. Spacious bathroom. Nice breakfast, a lot of things to choose from (included in our case). The hotel is about literally 4 or 5 min walk to a metro station. It’s about 6 to 15 min ride by metro to the center (depends on where you need to go to). Room was clean and quiet. Windows are openable. The only concern is that wifi is not free in the room, but it is free in public areas (the lobby, restaurant, outdoor patio). Public Wifi works well and it’s speedy enough to have a video call (WhatsApp, Viber, Skype) Convenient connection from/to airport by public transport. Use the wellness area with no extra charge: gym 24h; sauna and whirlpool from 10h to 22h Nice river view (extra charge).

250$ a night without internet included.

Posted Mar 28, 2017
Not really free internet as they said, upgrade is needed to get access. They will tell you "Free internet only at public area like lobby, restaurant, and bar" but still you cannot get your devices connected. Very scammy!!! The staff are eager to clean your room at 7 - 8am. They will knock your door to have room service/ clean your room. For international traveller especially with jet lag they may need no disturbing. ...I think they should have electrical outlet that allow all international to use. We need to ask them for an adapter and sign for 20$ deposit. It is really like a kid business for 250$ a night there. Some of my friends said the hotel under 100$ here in Vienna do a whole lot better than this hotel.

Welcoming hotel with excellent standards

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Overall we had a great experience at the Hilton. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they also helped with many of our quires and communication was easy. We went for a city view to save a little money, the room was large and comfortable, with lots of space and storage. However throughout the day & night there is some sort of shuttle that passes by which makes a lot of noise. Then again you are in a city so it's expected and didn't bother us as much as it might other people. We used a lot of the facilities and all were a great experience. There is also only a 3 minute walk to a small supermarket and a 5 minute walk to the Stadion (a shopping centre) with lots of restaurants and transportation links to both the airport and the city centre. I would recommend highly.

Good out of town Hilton

Posted Jan 22, 2017
Pros: The bar area, views of the river and the spa.
Cons: I would ask the catering management to review the breakfast coffee - it was awful.
Stayed at this Hilton for a week in January. The hotel was warm and comfortable with the usual Hilton quality. Everything worked well - the staff were welcoming and very efficient. Check in and out were both smooth and quick. The facilities were reasonable, the spa was spotless, but it was disappointing that there was no steam room. Breakfast was good, but the reservation of certain tables for Hilton Honors Guests was a bit irritating. The coffee at breakfast was very poor. Given that Vienna is a mecca for coffee lovers, it's a pity the Hilton coffee was almost undrinkable. The bedroom temperature was rather difficult to regulate, despite several attempts to use a simple control panel - it just defaulted back to a centrally determined setting. Although the hotel is a little out of town, the transport links are excellent and a very short walk to the nearby bus/train links soon gets you into the city. Ask the staff for the short cuts. I would usually take taxis, but the network in Vienna is so good, it's worth using public transport. It's a good hotel, with fine views of the Danube (if you have a room on that side). The staff were friendly and helpful. If the price was right, I would use it again.

Great amenities! The breakfast was superb!! Very family-friendly hotel. You have to walk 15 min to get to the closest metro station but the service in Austria is great!
