Let me just say: wow! The attention to detail here is top notch. I’ve checked into a lot of hotels in my day and have never had a personal tour before (Patrick, you are terrific!). This hotel is small and friendly, sparkling clean, is filled with personal touches like pastries in your room, a gourmet breakfast, and more, and is interesting and quirky from a design perspective. It is in the very heart of everything. The hotel was a real highlight in our trip to Vienna.

To start off with the many positives: The staff were all exceptional, very friendly and helpful; the location is superb, a short distance walk to Stephenplatz and also near many metro stations; the room/premises were very clean; breakfast was delicious and it was nice to have different options everyday. There are nice little breakout areas throughout the property which are great to just hang out if you don't want to stay in your room. A few minor points: like others have commented, I did not like having the sink in the bedroom. It really isnt practical at all. But I found out subsequently that you can request a room with a more conventional layout. I would suggest it to anyone planning to stay. Also, it would be great to be provided with disposable slippers like many 4/5 star hotels do. There weren't any in the room and we had forgotten to pack ours. Finally, it would be nice if the reception could be staffed for slightly longer in the evenings, maybe until 11pm We were never back in before 9pm and there were questions we wanted to ask the reception but there was nobody there. There is something nice about being greeted by a friendly face at reception when you return back to a hotel in an unfamiliar city. Overall we would def be happy to stay here again, but in a room with a more conventional bathroom layout.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Hollman Beletage for a city break in Vienna and absolutely loved this hotel. It is tucked down a quiet street so not noisy, but is only 5 minutes walk from the cathedral and the city centre. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and helpful - I left a camera bag on the train from the airport by accident and the hotel staff registered a lost and found report for me, and guided me to a nearby pharmacist to replace some meds that were in the bag. Every member of staff would say hello when we passed. We had a lovely room with a four poster bed in the middle, a well stocked mini bar and cakes for us to enjoy. The a la carte breakfast was delicious and the free beer and sandwiches (afternoon) and whisky nightcap were very welcome. The hotel is perfectly located for the city centre, everything is very walkable, and little touches like free umbrellas to borrow made it feel like home. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
