I had done my research on this property so I knew what I was booking and what to expect so I have no complaints at all. That said, the picture that the hotel features is a little deceptive given it is a far less attractive building at the back of that pictured building. I also read somewhere that it is a 4 star hotel, but it most certainly is not. However, as we didn't pay 4 star prices we didn't expect it to be. It is quite basic, no luxuries. I'm fairly low maintenance but I would advise bringing some shampoo/conditioner, the shower gel is a dispenser on the wall. Also, frosted glass door on the bathroom doesn't provide much privacy. It's a good thing my husband and I are married for so long. The decor is late 80's early 90's.
All that said. The hotel, like the rest of Vienna, is spotless. The bed was two single beds pushed together with separate bedding for both, but the mattress was firm and very comfortable. The room was so warm after a cold day at Christmas markets. It was also very spacious. There's no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There's a small bar in the lobby that is nice to have a nightcap in. The front desk staff are helpful and, for the most part, friendly. We had informed them that one of our party had mobility issues so they were given a room directly across from the lift. The continental breakfast has a lot of variety but the only warm food is scrambled eggs. We really enjoyed it though. There's a u-bahn stop 2 mins away and a tram stop about 5.
