The staff are amazing!! They make you feel very welcome. The breakfasts are delicious. The rooms are clean. I've stayed here 3 times now & it doesn't disappoint. Great central location too.

I’ve stayed here twice and absolutely loved it both times. The staff are fantastic. I travel a lot and I’ve never stayed anywhere with staff that make you feel as special as they do. The breakfast buffet is an awesome way to start the day, especially if you go early and can enjoy the tranquility. The location is very close to public transit, steps away from a grocery store, some restos, etc. The decor is very old school, and reflects the hotel’s long history. The rooms are small, but very nice. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The hotel is in a good position for the centre of Vienna; only a short walk to tram stops, shops and restaurants. Our room was spotless, with a spacious bathroom and lovely hot powerful shower. The reception staff were efficient and friendly. The breakfast had lots of choice, hot and cold options, and was good quality. All in all I would not hesitate in recommending Hotel Stefanie to friends and would definitely stay there again if I return to Vienna.

Friendly staff, great location just over the canal from the city centre. It is great to think you are staying in an hotel which has had a presence in Vienna since 1600, it has been upgraded since then of course.

Nice location and walkable into centre and access to underground close by. Bus tour stop is also a short distance away. Hotel is very Viennese which is lovely. Our forecourt view wasn’t what we expected, onto a rear lane. If travelling with older person, please check out whether shower is a walk in, or over the bath as not very convenient for 80 year old who found it a bit difficult to access. Tried to change room but unfortunately only one available was also with shower over bath. Best book ahead if you want to dine within hotel as we couldn’t get a table. Breakfast was lovely.

Great hotel with welcoming and friendly staff, and a pleasant, cosy location to relax after busy sightseeing and visiting Christmas markets. Restaurant quickly booked up but there are light meals available in the cosy bar. Bedroom spacious if a tad plain, but plenty of teas and coffee sachets for refreshment. Bathroom very good but note the shower is in the bath, not walk-in. Breakfasts excellent in the large restaurant; best to be early as queues soon built up near Xmas. One small point, after vacating the room, a coffee was not available and the bar was closed. Pity. Overall a recommended hotel near to the main attractions.

The staff always went above and beyond for the guest. From the warm welcome after a long day of travel to daily greetings and interactions. Property was beautiful and well maintained. Daily breakfast was fantastic! I requested an early morning taxi to the airport, arrived right on time to pick me up. My stay was enjoyable in every way.

The oldest hotel in Vienna, very stylish decor. Staff were excellent, food at breakfast was a wide choice of hot & cold. Reception staff spoke good English & gave good directions to Christmas Markets etc. Maps were provided free.

It is a lovely hotel that is a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the inner city. The breakfast buffet had many options and we never felt rushed as we planned our day. The bar was cozy and the perfect spot at the end of the day.

Gem of hotel just north of river
Last minute solo traveller. Found this reasonably priced, highly rated gem on Hotels.com filtering on rating. Room was comfortable and clean, perfect for one person. Breakfast included and it was good. Door lock was older (not electronic), but secure. I left my window open on Saturday night to catch the breeze and I was awoken to the Sunday morning church bells, which were lovely, and effective at waking me up!

Great time at Hotel Stephanie
Hotel Stephanie was is a great location, a 10-15 minute walk to St. Stephen's Cathedral, easy to access public transit. And the nicest staff!! Always a warm greeting when entering the hotel.

Wonderful Stay
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Stefanie. It’s a short walk to the city center in Vienna and nearly all the attractions. It’s also a short walk to a number of subway and tram stations, and a short connection to the City to Airport Train. The accommodations are all up to date, but the hotel retains some of its historical character. The breakfast buffet is also not to be missed. The staff at the front desk were all very accommodating. They even called a restaurant for me to make a reservation since my cell plan wasn’t making calls

Hotel Stephanie was a great choice for me. It was very conveniently located, the staff was friendly and efficient, and I love a hotel with some history under its belt, and this hotel is about as old as they come. The breakfast buffet served each morning was as good as it gets. I was fueled up and ready to go for the entire day of touring each day of my trip. Excellent!

A lovely hotel with wonderful staff. The only downside we foundcwas that the pillows were lumpy and flat, and that the matress was a little soft, although I appreciate this subjective.

Great place to stay in Vienna! Staff were very friendly and helpful and seeing all the historical artifacts in the hotel was amazing - like staying in a museum! Breakfast was good but not amazing, could use more variety and better coffee. Very clean and secure hotel and rooms. Comfy bed. Ventilation in the bathroom did not appear to work at all and had to open the bathroom door after about a minute as the steam was overwhelming, and had trouble trying to get the damp/humidity out of the room then even when opening the windows for hours and running the AC on max. Towels from the first day were still not dry by the 3rd day due to this and were not replaced. Minor issue.
