I booked an airport transfer through the hotel - unfortunately the driver was waiting at the hotel not the airport which required many phone calls and nearly an hours wait to rectify. This meant we hit rush hour traffic so our arrival at the hotel was even further delayed.
I was surprised they charged full price for the transfer-A small discount to account for the troubles would off gone a long way. We made our own way to the airport on departure.
The room was beautiful, the view of the Opera House was stunning. The hotel was very clean and tidy, I cannot fault the housekeeping staff who kept our room pristine and stocked. Location is perfect!
The restaurant/bar staff were the other disappointment - we stopped for a drink one afternoon (off peak, near empty) and had to ask repeatedly for our drinks, the servers were quite rude and disinterested as we only wanted a drink. When I asked to put the drinks on my room their attitudes suddenly changed. This was not something I was expecting, it definitely put us off using the in house restaurant/bar for the rest of our trip.
They also tried to charge us for another rooms restaurant bill in addition to ours on check out-quickly rectified but only when I asked to see the cost breakdown as it seemed rather steep for what we had ordered.
Overall a beautiful hotel, amazing location and we had a good stay - tarnished slightly by a few annoying issues.
