I was checked in a room with a few mosquito and a tiny cockroach. The reception staff reacted promptly when he was informed of the situation. He immediately arranged another room for me and accompanied to inspect the room to ensure my complete satisfaction.

Staff very polite. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel lobby and public areas look great. Unfortunately the air conditioning in the room was stuck on 29 degrees and they were unable to fix it or move me to another room.

Great location
I was upgraded on arrival and got a really nice room with a view. The room layout is very practical. The only issue was noise from the next room even though the connecting door was locked.

Great place to Marry love of your life if she lao
I think it is the nicest place in Laos. There is NOTHING near the hotel so don't expect to go for a walk arround town without a ride. The Sushi resteraunt BLOWS but everything else is super nice. I am gonna get married there next year.

The hotel is amazing. The property and rooms are huge, which makes for a beautiful and relaxing experience, and the staff are very friendly . The location was incredible; right on the Mekong River with Thailand across the river. Highly recommended!

Far from town if thinking of walking. Rooms need maintenance, from slow drain in showers, to noise from surrounding areas all day and night. Need more signs to guide drivers to front lobby. They need to review the security, from sliding glass doors not locking to loud noise in pool area after midnight.

Nice Hotel but Need Improvements
Pros: Room is spacious, very nice bathroom with separate tub and shower, nice comfy bed, super cool pool, very good gym, nice view of mekong river and nice spa massage Cons: Rude and uninterested staff, staff needing major training - their attitude is of a 2 star hotel, few kms away from city center but they do have a shuttle, breakfast options majorly focused on chinese, front desk both check in and check out were horrible!!! They have no idea what they are doing, spa service needs major improvements and facility although massage itself was good. I would come back if they made improvements suggested

Out of town, great views, wouldn't stay again
The hotel is nice though given its age you would have thought it would be in better condition. I don't think their ideal clientele is European/American but Chinese. And they are obsessed with you paying your bill - insisted we leave a deposit and when we went over it they chased after us for more money. The views are great but its out of town, there is nothing around it and you have to pay US$10 each time you want to into town. They nickel and dime you all the way...... Next time will book somewhere else.

Great luxury hotel close to the Mekong

The hotel is about 20 mins from the airport and about a 5/10 mins tuk tuk from the main city centre. Its a big hotel and was empty when I was there. The room was nice, very big and very comfortable. Breakfast was good and I was the only one there so attention was over the top. The hotels location is a little out of the way to be honest and this was an issue for me in getting taxis and to and from meetings or when trying to get to town. The staff at the hotel were very poor. Some of them were not local and had no idea of directions, cost of things or how to get to places. They messed up 2 taxi bookings I made meaning I was late for meetings and suggested a take a taxi to a meeting using their car (10USD pretty much anywhere) as it was far to far to walk despite not looking that far on a map. It took 90 seconds to drive to and about 2 mins to walk back from - what a joke and they wouldn't refund the cost because of the poor advice. I wouldn't stay here again based on both the poor knowledge/helpfulness of staff and its location out of town. Somewhere like the Crown Plaza offers a much better option.

Elegant Hotel With River View

Not close to city-centre, but there are hotel shuttles that bring you into and back from the city every 2 hours. Room safety deposit was a joke. It is light and can be carried out of your room with ease. They should bolt it down like most other hotels. Breakfast choices was very limited and quality was average. Room air conditioner was very noisy. Room was overall very clean and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The exterior of the hotel looks like a 5 star-hotel, but feels like a 4 star hotel. However, this is often the case for other 5 star hotels in Lao.

Poor breakfast,noisy and terrible customer service
A nice looking hotel with smart rooms but with poor staff and all night partying Oriental guests. Breakfast was disappointing and not topped up or kept warm. When we asked staff to top up breakfast items with an hour to go they just smiled and said sorry but did nothing about it. When we asked reception to ask our neighbours to stop partying and slamming doors and to be quiet they did nothing. At 1am on the second night I showed a member of the front desk which room was making the noise and asked her to get security to ask them to stop - again nothing. She asked if I would call the room or knock on the door. This would not be safe or wise and was definitely not my job! We could not sleep for 2 of our 3 nights at this hotel and are still waiting for the refund promised by the Manager Constantin. The staff require proper training and follow through with problems instead of fobbing off guests.

On the bank of the Mekong
I was staying in the Landmark for 5 nights while attending a conference. On the edge of the city, which made it quieter. Loved it - and would return. Was being used by the Finance Ministers of the ASEAN countries for a meeting - so right up there in terms of prestige.

beautiful hotel, unforgettable staff!
The owner was on site the whole time of our 2 night stay. Very amiable and threw a wine tasting the Sat. Night we were there. The hotel and staff were impeccable. We saw many 5 star hotels while in Luan Prabang, I'm sure bigger rooms, but the location and staff would have us come back again and again. Thanks Mekong Riverview for a great experience!!

Nice but not quite 5 Star
Hotel was very nice - clean and tidy and everything looked fresh. It's a bit out of town but the view of the river makes up for it - my sunset pictures are much better than the ones I took downtown. Staffing seemed a bit hit or miss... wanted dinner - no one seemed to be working in the brassierie. Tried Chinese but as a solo traveler this wasn't ideal as meals designed for groups of 5-6+ so went back to brasserie and looked for staff - told most people just ordered room service - but I didn't have a room service menu in my room and he just blamed housekeeping... Check out was easy and quick. Reception was able to get me a driver for both days I was in town. Although both drivers tried to get more money than agreed but both backed down when I argued back. Wifi was ok - sometimes it was good - sometimes it was non-existent. Totally unable to connect to Line or BBM so that was inconvenient. Made more difficult with phone service provided roaming that was paid for also wouldn't work so unsure if problem lay with hotel wifi or the apps I was trying to use on my phone...

Quiet spacious hotel by the Khong river.
Good hotel by the river. Luxery and spacious room. A bit far from restaurants and market though. Hotel provide free shuttle to/from airport.

무엉탄 호텔보다 살짝 비쌌는데 호텔 자체는 훨씬 크고 웅장하고 좋아요. 근데 기본적으로 직원들의 응대태도는 너무 아쉬워요. 막상 말을하면 순박하고 좋은데, 모두 불친절한 느낌. 임금수준도 아주 낮은 걸로 아는데 직원이 별로 없는 것 같다. 헬스장 갔을때도 손님이 와도 인사도 없고 핸드폰만 보고 있다 ㄱ 것도 소리 크게 틀어놓고. 기본 교육이 안돼 있는 것 같다.

Dieses Hotel scheint in die Jahre gekommen zu sein. Die Hälfte der Fitnessgeräte ist defekt. Safety im Zimmer funktioniert nicht. Das Essen in Hotelrestaurant (Brasserie ist katastrophal. jedoch das Frühstückbuffet ist sehr vielfältig und von sehr guter Qualität. Das Hotel liegt etwa 3 Km ausserhalb von Vientianne und bittet keinen Shuttle ins Zentrum an höchstens gegen 20 US Dollar!!!!
