They sold the room out from under me!

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything!
Location: Thankfully there was another hotel that had one vacancy. Some fast food nearby. More options if you were to stay in Douglasville 15 minutes away.
After traveling all day they sold my room out from under me. When I arrived they said they no longer had any rooms available. This may have been a blessing in disguise. The outside appearance of the hotel was awful. The signage was non existent. Expedia had to work with hotel to get my money back. I do not recommend!

Never again!

Posted Nov 1, 2016 on Hotels
Upon arrival you see a notice in the lobby by desk saying you have 15 min. to check room to let them know if there are any problems. We had room on the first floor and the room next to us had "Caution" tape across the door. Room had a few minor flaws (see pictures) but smelled ok. Problems came after dark when the bugs came out! They were on the walls, floor in bathroom & in closet. Room on other side of us seemed to have a "revolving" door all night. Horns beeping, doors opening & closing, more horns & doors. Was glad to leave in morning! Only stayed because it was race weekend and not a lot of rooms available, but never again!

Close to the interstate

The desk clerk was very friendly. He asked if I wanted to check out the room to make sure it was up to my standards. I was in a rush so I declined. Upon entering the light switch didn't work, several light bulbs were out, the toilet was running, and I think the TV was on but there was no picture. None of this bothered me too badly since I was only getting ready to head out. I didn't arrive back until later that night and was too tired to check anything else. As soon as I laid in the rock hard bed I looked up to see 2 bugs crawling around on the ceiling. That's what truly disgusted me.

We had bugs in room. Other travelers in our group found roaches in their room. The bathroom was dirty and no wash clothes were in room. We stayed 2 days and room was not cleaned.

Tv didn't work, rooms where being overbooked. Had to ask for clean sheets and towels, staff was overwhelmed so the customer service wasn't that great. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

To be fair, this hotel isere torn from the wall. in the middle of being renovated. That being said, the actual worked well but was very noisy, the TV was from the 80'same an was hard to use. The headboards were torn from the wall. The staff was friendly

Just awful. Do not stay here.

Posted Jul 6, 2016 on Hotels
My stay was absolutely awful. I recommend Hotels.com drop this hotel from their list of offerings, immediately! Not once during my four day stay did my room get cleaned, not once! There was no soap in the room to begin with, so I had to go to the front desk to get soap & towels, just to make the room useable. Half of the deadbolt on the door was missing. There was no iron. The remote worked on the cable box, but did not power on the tv nor control the volume, rendering it useless. The temperature control for the air conditioner was completely broken off. The towel bar by the sink was broken. Hardware in the shower was broken and the broken parts were sitting there in the tub. The water temperature fluctuated so much that it was all but impossible to take a shower without freezing or getting burnt. I reported all of these complaints to the front desk and woman who stopped by at check out. The only person who showed any concern was the woman who stopped by at check out, who asked me to fill out a complaint. I went to the front desk and waited 10 minutes to do so, but no one ever showed up to man the front desk. The whole hotel is pretty run down and there is definitely a rough element that appear to be living there. Maybe the "hotel" is a front for some other, illegal activities? This whole experience has made me think less of Hotels.com and the Fairbridge Inn chain.
