Nice B&B in a picturesque area.
Scilla is a lovely little town in a good location for some places that we needed to visit. La Lacondiera was quite nice for a B&B in a tiny town. We had a fine room with a sweet tiny balcony with a lovely view. They were very helpful with a few unexpected problems that had nothing to do with them! We may have been the only ones there in Nov. since they set the breakfast buffet only when we said we would be downstairs for it. There is no one there after dark and you use your own key for the front door after hours. The bathroom was very small but workable. It is a fine place.

Location is cute and quaint, walking distance for everything in town. Lodging is clean and basic. Staff were non existent during the day. I had to wait quite some time before I was able to even check in.

Other people may like this place, but I was very disappointed with what I got for the price I paid.."...it is tiny and I actually paid and left because my weeekends are precious and I wasn't going to be able to relax there. I could barely move in the bathroom, the room was quite basic, but as I say, it was clean . More like a youth hostel really!

Hotel is in old town, no parking, but staff picked us up and took us to hotel. Very friendly.

Perfect location (center of old town) though a bit difficult to reach with a vehicle. Rooms are rather small but offer pretty much all you need (you might have a problem entering a shower if slightly bulkier). Make use of a charming terrace located immediately across the hotel and enjoy the view of skillful Italians driving up and down one of the most narrow roads you'll have seen. The owner of the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful but staff speaks no English and will probably not make feel you welcome. I think this was the only place where we left no tips.

This is a Bed and Breakfast that has a good location provided you can walk hills and steps. The Breakfast is poor, the people nice. It is about a 2.5 star rating. I would not stay there again

Nice place but...
PROS Nice place, good breakfast, nice/ helpful staff, rooms clean and ours had nice view of harbor, reasonably priced, restaurants nearby. CONS Very hard to find, on a side street without access by car (you can if have a micro sized car but it is scary tight), parking is on the main street in town...we did not have any problems but not very secure. We ended up carrying/ rolling our luggage quite a way. And if you want to swim, the beach is on the other side of town.

Great Scilla location
Located close to marina, beach, fort and great restaurants. Recommend calling hotel before arrival to get help on finding hotel plus parking info. Streets are narrow and parking limited.

Great Place-But Hotel La sirene much better
The Locandiera was a great place, but the proprietor of the Hotel La Sirene picked us up at the Locandiera and drove us to the train station, We saw his Hotel, and realized what a beautiful and ACCESSABLE place it was.

La camera è grande e spaziosa ma il bagno non era molto pulito, sulle mattonelle infatti c'era della muffa e le porte della doccia rimanevano semiaperte e l'acqua usciva sul pavimento, forse per questo c'era muffa e condenza nel bagno. La mattina c'era stato detto che potevamo almeno farci un caffè ma non c'erano i bicchierini per berlo e nessuno a cui chiedere. Al telefono della struttura non rispondono. Peccato perché Scilla è favolosa e anche la vista dalla camera, un poco di attenzione in più per gli ospiti e di pulizia al bagno sarebbe gradita.

La nostra prenotazione non c'era. Dunque non c'era una stanza per noi (famiglia con due bambine piccole). Il personale cortese, Aldo per carità, mortificato x l'errore, ha cercato una struttura alternativa e dopo aver atteso un'ora ci ha proposto una casa privata in centro più o meno allo stesso costo (20€ in meno e senza colazione). Peccato che la nostra prenotazione prevedeva vista mare, vicino alla spiaggia e al ristorante dove volevamo andare e la colazione. Il costo del tragitto (Ape per le salite con figlie e bagagli) per andare alla casa privata a spese nostre... Sicuramente da rivedere qualcosa. Non credo di consigliarlo ai miei conoscenti.

Il parcheggio non è della struttura e non è gratuito. La camera è piccola ed il condizionatore insufficiente. La colazione è scarsa in qualità e quantità e servita in ritardo. Mi è stato impossibile pagare con carta di credito. Mai più.

Lo consiglio vivamente
A pochi minuti dal porto di Chianalea. Stanza tripla ampia, letto matrimoniale comodo, un po' meno il singolo. Bagno molto grande, solo avrei gradito una bustina di bagnoschiuma a testa. L'altra singola invece forse un po' piccola, in compenso entrambe le stanze erano con vista mare e sulla chiesetta, spettacolare! Colazione ottima per un b&b, dolci fatti in casa, marmellata di mandarino eccezionale! Personale molto disponibile.

Entzückendes Hotel im hübschen Fischerdörfchen
Nachdem sich das Hotel in einem typísch italienischen Fischerdorf befindet, darf man sich demnach auch kein großes Hotel erwarten. Es passt architektonisch perfekt in diesen Ort. Es ist auch mit Liebe eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an wohl. Wir wurden sehr gut, freundlich und kompetent vom Personal betreut. Es muss einem jedoch auch klar sein, dass man gut bei Fuß sein muss, denn es müssen einige Stiegen zum und vom Hotel bewältigt werden.

manque de propreté de la chambre: vitres sales, poussière, peignoir de bain sale ( l'occupant précédent s'était essuyé le derrière et on avait pas changé le peignoir!!!!! ) petit déjeuner très peu varié- .personnel aimable - commodités correctes-vue exceptionnelle.
