Thanks to all the staff! Exceptional service. Great food, great time spent on the beach and pool! Really recommend LVDR for relaxing and recharge with positive energy. Suggestion: party on the roof terrace? Indoor cooled space for gym? We’ll definitely return!

This is a beautiful location on a very long stretch of beach. It is a true 5 star property and 5 star experience with fantastic service and professional staff. The rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. The property is landscaped beautifully and well maintained. The restaurants are first rate. Stay here if you are in Castiadas.

found bite marks in the bread at breakfast - bread clearly being reused which is unsanitary and ruined the dining experience for me for the rest of the trip I have videos of black ants in the hotel room. Cleaning schedule seemed irratic with the cleaners often coming at strange times - room was never really cleaned. They just made the bed. Staff clearly overworked with the same staff on at breakfast working all the way until dinner service or later Staff seemed somewhat annoyed that we elected to use their transfer services frequently to dine outside the resort - we were left waiting for 1 hour to return at one point after notification. While we were fine to wait - it was the one time no one greeted us on our return and felt pointed Beautiful resort, great food and grounds but just some thoughts

Fabulous hotel with incredible beach!
We absolutely loved the hotel and beach. The ocean was heaven! Staff were all very friendly and happy to assist. They also had a great breakfast! We thought the sheets were low quality and mattress needs to be updated. We also thought they could have had free water refill stations as we felt the number of plastic bottles we went through was ridiculous, especially for a hotel on the beach. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family. It exceeded our expectations!

Staff was outstanding. Property is impeccable and beautiful. Pool bar staff need to be more attentive. Always had to get their attention for service even when not busy. Frequently frustrated when food manager said restaurant was "full" and no tables available when there were in fact open tables throughout entire evening. Don't play that game.

Lovely grounds and beach, outstanding service. The only thing I didn't like was that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms and size of rooms. Everything else was superb.

Wow. This property is beautiful from top to bottom. On top of that I have never encountered hospitality of this magnitude. Everything from the moment I drove in had me feeling luxurious and like a celebrity. The room was great , staff were phenomenal, breakfast options were amazing, dinner as well (lot of options around the property too), pool and beach location was super picturesque. Anything we needed they catered to and it exceeded my expectations. This hotel set the standard for hospitality for me going forward. They even gave us a courtesy room after check out which was very nice.

The staff and property was exceptional! We absolutely loved this place. I would rate the food 4 out of 5 since we ate every meal at the resorts’ restaurants, and felt like some meals were a bit hit or miss. Ultimately, the rates for the food were quite reasonable and fair for the experience we received. We paid for an upgraded room with a sea view and really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend the upgrade. The hotel is 1 hour away from the airport and hiring a car will cost you $125 Euros each way ($250 Euro) for round trip. So be prepared to pay that for your commute. The hotel was very accommodating and is able to prepare the arrangements for you which was very easy and highly recommended. The poolside food was great and but not cheap. Cost as much as your dinner items at the strictly enforced dress code restaurants. So bring long pants if you want to eat at one of the two restaurants, otherwise you will be denied entry even if it’s 90 degrees out. I thought this strictly enforced dress code was ridiculous, even though I was wearing quite expensive dress shorts and expensive attire. I was forced to change and was embarrassed. It wasn’t like I was wearing flip flops and swimwear. I could understand that. Additionally, the pool side drinks were quite expensive and not very good in my opinion. If you are paying $20 Euros for a drink, it should be amazing and worth it. Ultimately, we enjoyed our stay but the mosquitoes were everywhere and they ate my girlfriend alive.

A bona fide paradise with stunning hospitality
La Villa Del Rei is a slice of paradise in Sardinia. We had an immensely lovely time there. Beach holidays are my favourite kind and I can wholly vouch that the private beach access of this hotel alone makes the stay worth it. It is a world class beach and we appreciated the hospitality of the lifeguards (especially Davide) and the complimentary use of SUPs and kayaks. The service and hospitality at this hotel was outstanding. No request was ever too difficult - we asked for towels to bring to the beach and it was all prepared for in our car, packaged beautifully with extra bottles of water! I was bitten by a playful puppy on my second day there and the staff all seemed to have communicated this with each other and various different staff asked if I was ok and if I required anything further. Thoughtful, nuanced touches like these make a good hotel a memorable one. Some minor areas of improvement: we noticed both our rooms were not sound proof and we were able to hear our neighbours’ conversation in the evening. We would have loved a gym but I believe the hotel is currently building one. There is access to a community palestra which is well equipped for a 10 Euro fee but they are closed on Sundays so a note for all avid exercise aficionados that you can access dumbbells on the terrazza with yoga mats as well. Overall, a splendid stay and we would be keen to return one day!

The resort is truly beautiful and staff are amazing. They all love what they do and proud of the property and the work they do. The views are breathtaking and beaches are out of this world. We loved our stay at the resort and can’t wait to go back.

Great experience at the hotel. Service and staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for a week and rented a car, which I would recommend if you stay for an extended period of time. There are only two restaurants at the hotel and although the food is excellent, the options are very limited and overpriced. Breakfast was included and excellent. Only hotel on a long stretch of amazing beach. Had an amazing time here and would recommend it. Only negative element was the live entertainment on two nights. Five of the seven nights the music was soft background music and perfect for the setting. The other two nights the music was extremely loud, shrieking and very disturbing until 10:00pm.

This is a beautiful hotel, with extremely comfortable rooms and spacious pool area. We had a wonderful break here, but were a little let down by the slow service of an evening at the Infinity bar and sporadic service in the Bella Vista restaurant. Markup on drinks is high, but you expect this in a true 5 star hotel.

Not a 5 star resort. Far from it. Awful staff, rude management- woken up at 3am to power tools being used outside the room. When complained to management their response was “you’ve seen our reviews” - well here’s a review : this property is overrated, over priced and stuffy. In the middle of nowhere. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Beautiful and impeccable hotel
This is a beautiful and impeccable hotel with delicious food and the most outstanding service we have ever had. The manager Ms Cristofaro and Fabio the concierge took excellent care of us and the whole staff was caring and professional. It is very isolated so if you want to visit small towns around you need a car or a driver. This can be arranged for you.

Villa Del Re is a phenomenal hotel in an amazing, picturesque location. Everything about this hotel is perfect, including the staff and management - who are exceptionally caring and devoted to making each stay truly perfect. The property is spotless (built in 2014) and on a beautiful piece of land and turquoise beach, with a delicious restaurant for both lunch and dinner, but what makes it truly special is the staff, which from Rossetta, the hotel manager, to Raymondo, the head of front office and Diego & Matteo, the main F&B managers, we felt special every minute we spent there. And looking around us, the personalized and warm service was given to every customer, which is a great testament to how this property is managed. While there are a few nice hikes around and some beaches to visit, either by car or by renting a boat on property, the only interesting dining option outside is an agroturismo (a farm that makes you dinner cooking their own products), which the hotel recommended. Overall, wonderful relaxing and gourmet 5-day stay. We’ll be back soon!

We went to La Villa del Re on our honeymoon and we are already planning when we can go back again! The staff were lovely, our room was perfect and the beach was superb. The music and food were brilliant, we went out every other night but we had more fun eating at the hotel. Our personal favourite was waking up to harp music being played below our bedroom window for people eating breakfast.

Honeymoon delight
We stayed here for 4 nights on our honeymoon and loved it. We booked a superior garden room. These are the group d floor room with a small patio with a bistrot table and a few sun Loungers. Even though our room was the farthest you could get from the ocean or pool and close to the parking lot entrance, it was quiet and private. The hotel staff is phenomenal. They bend over backwards to make you comfortable. So much so that sometimes we felt a bit annoyed at being asked 3 times by 3 different peoe for everything.... Water at the beginning of dinner through coffee at the end. Better that than the opposite though. The hotel was refurbished completely 5 years ago and it still.looms brand new with a beachy elegance about it. The patrons are sophisticated and polished, with the exception of a few souls who got lost on their way to Cancun. The coast is magnificent- definitely rent a boat or private dinghy you can drive yourself. It was one of the most romantic days of our entire.honeumoon. Villasimius isn't worth the drive, and after trying a few restaurants in the area, your best bet is the hotel- by far!!!!!

My Husband and I loved our stay at La Villa Del Re. This is a very special place. The property is stunning and immaculately kept. The grounds are highly manicured with beautiful and unusual plantings and the rooms are gorgeous. The staff at this resort make the difference, they are friendly, professional and truly want to make your stay a happy one. The food is wonderful here, and it’s nice to have a full breakfast and afternoon tea included everyday. The beach and pool facilities are also fantastic. The location is very tranquil so if you are looking to get away from it all, relax and be taken care of - this is your place. They truly pursue excellence at this property.
