Located in a heritage house, in a picturesque neighborhood, renovated in a minimalist style, the Zero Hotel has a lot of charm and a wonderful garden, lush with tropical plantings, with a view of the famous harbor and bay of Valparaiso. However, it rained during our stay, keeping us out of the garden (the best feature of the property) and the only public room, the winter garden, was under repair and so equally unavailable. So we were restricted to our own room which seemed somewhat under-decorated and lacking a comfortable reading chair. The staff was pleasant and helpful, but we still felt the room was way overpriced.
