It's OK

Pros: It was adequate.
Cons: The facility needs serious upgrading.
Location: The location is probably best if one is travelling on business in this area on a short trip or if one is just passing through.
This was our first trip to Virginia Beach and we were not really familiar with the area or the geography. We chose our anchor hotel in ignorance.

Nice hotel close to Little Creek Naval Base.

Pros: Good staff
Cons: More variety for breakfast
Location: Busy street; have to turn right and travel to the first light before you can turn-around.
Close to the Naval Base. The stay was pleasant. Breakfast was adequate, though lacking in variety.

Curtains were dusty. Beds were not vkean looking. Carpets were torn and dirty. Pool was dirty. Too many bugs in area

Changing Smoking Room Policy

I understand some rooms are smoking rooms. It seemed that this location chose to put the smoking rooms on the first floor. I would suggest changing the requirement so that smoking rooms are upstairs. Also, it might be a good idea to better sanitize and deodorize the smoking rooms. Although, we had a smoking room at check-in, due to the foul smell, we had to ask for a non-smoking room. It might even be better to make all rooms non-smoking. Since each room has an outside facing door, one could argue that everyone could step outside their door to smoke.

Although we do still have a few smoking rooms, there are several sections of our property that are not surrounded by any whatsoever. Dirty

The rooms look okay. The carpets are super old and dirty. The smell was damp. It is not up to best western standards.

Average at best. On last minute travel for a lacrosse tournament and there were few rooms to choose from at a reasonable rate.

Hello. Although we are unsure of what rate you paid through the third party, here at best Western Center Inn all of our rooms are considered "standard." What wasn't bad or broken?

Given a stinky smokers room, shifted, 2 lights not going, limited power points. , fridge not closing, keys not working, microwave & aircon noisy, earwig in bed, cups not replaced, no vents in claustrophobic bathroom, verry bare essentials. Fighting neighbors

Here in the state of Virginia smoking rooms are still available, and sometimes they are booked on accident. When this happens we always try our hardest to move the guest to the room type of their choice. Unfortunately, if a different room type is unavailable we have no choice other than to give the guest the room that they had originally booked. We also apologize about the maintenance issues that you experienced. Please know that we are taking this issue very seriously, and will make sure that these issues are resolved. Not worth price.

Pretty no frills hotel, woman who checked me in seemed annoyed to answer one question about restaurants in area. Hotel was described as conveinent to Beach i guess if you consider 25 min drive to beach conveinent it would be.

The staff was amazing. They were very kind and helped when ever needed. The Hotel was clean. I would definitely stay there again.

The carpet was stained in many places and needs to be replaced. The faucet in the sink didn't work properly. Not in a great area - a guy approached us as we were leaving looking for a handout. We have stayed here before and weren't thrilled with this place the first time but it is convenient and we normally like Best Western motels so we gave it another chance. But we liked it even less this time and have decided to go elsewhere on our next visit.
