Nice hotel on the ocean front

Pros: It was clean and staffs are friendly. You can enjoy the breakfast and watch the ocean.
Location: Lots of stores and restaurants are nearby. No problem there.
We stayed only one night but enjoyed the walk on the beach and coffee on the balcony watching the tide.

Clogged bath tub made smell and room was i front of construction work ... so noisy

Nice hotel great location

Pros: Staff at rooms and at breakfast were awesome and professional and freiendly, desk staff though were not friendly.
Cons: Desk staff attitude
Location: Lots to do, good location for nearby live music
Love the location near King Neptune, breakfast food was better than expected for a complimentary breakfast. Nice hotel, friendly staff and close to the beach

Great location - all rooms are oceanfront and can walk to the beach. Comfortable rooms - comfortable beds and bedding, spacious with a balcony for great views. Friendly staff especially cleaning crew and breakfast staff. Good breakfast buffet. Parking is a plus. Overall, we agree that 4.3 stars rating is accurate. Certainly recommend this place and we will be back here. To the management - things to consider: 1. Install showers outside - just for hotel guests to minimize the cleaning and removal of sand throughout. The pool had collected some sand also and encouraging and providing facilities for guests to clean up before entering the hotel will prevent most of that issue. Foot showers were great but that area needs regular cleaning. 2. Pool area needs TLC may be pressurewash, paint and install at the least some foot showers 3. Hallways weren't AC'd didn't bother my family but heard other guests complaining - may be some sort of ventilation would be adequate 4. Closely monitor parking area for tags 5. Breakfast was better than expected but may want to regularly rotate/ widen the selection.

Needs Improvement

Lat minute vacation to Virginia Beach brought limited selection for our family of four. We generally stay at Fairfield or Springhill Suites just down the road but thought we would change things up and try a new hotel up next to the Neptune/Hilton area. No complaints about location - boardwalk and beach access, bike rental options, restaurants, -- nearby and easily accessible. However, the hotel left us, well, frankly a bit disappointed. Three nights at nearly 400+/night with taxes, we were surprised to find the hotel a bit dated. Compared to other hotels in the area, the lobby felt small and cramped and the decor was also a bit off with the gold-ish textured columns. Not sure if the cleaning crews just couldn't keep up but sand was everywhere - carpets, pool, floors. The nice waterfall pictured in the hotel's web site wasn't working and the pool area in general was small; the textured rock facade has definitely seen better days. Staff struggled to keep hot breakfast buffet items stocked. Service was hit or miss - some of the front desk and breakfast team - people who are paid to interact with and are the face of the company - seemed indifferent and almost bothered by simple questions. I would not recommend this hotel to family/friends. I rarely focus on negatives and instead try and find the positives - but sadly, not a lot to like about this hotel.

Great family beach trip.

Great location. Clean room. Nice linens. Balcony on ocean front. Convenient. parking on site -- a big plus at Virginia Beach. Covered oceanfront outdoor dining with ceiling fans. Great waitstaff, but food quality needs improvement. Indoor pool and hot tub were fun evening activities for kids.
