Cleanliness was excellent. Would be helpful to have English written wherever Spanish is written. Service was catered to the Spanish guests. Overall I would give this hotel an 8.

very disappointing!
1. the rooms are naked and very uncomfortable! no mirror, no coffee machine, no cups, etc. bathroom isn’t comfortable at all! 2. we paid quite high price, and didn’t get value for our money.

Fairytales are real!
I was there for a friend's wedding, but took some extra days - it was so tranquil and special staying in a "castle". I'm definitely going back, since I didn't have time this trip to take advantage of the wine & cheese tastings, among other things. From the minute I entered the gates I felt like a princess and understood completely why my friend had chosen to have her wedding here.

“Great” A place worth staying
Parador casa da insua was a great place to stay after visiting Aveiro, and onto Porto. The room, garden and the castle are very well maintained and in excellent condition. However, the check in and out took over 1 hour with a person ahead of us. The staff was extremely slow. There are very limited options for restaurants or grocery stores nearby. The gym is very poorly equipped. Wi-Fi connection was not reliable.

Absolutely lovely experience. Fabulous food. Nice staff. Beautiful grounds and very interesting history — especially the Portuguese/ Brazilian connection! Best place we stayed in Portugal !

Very comfortable and historically interesting.
Great bones. Missing written information about the lineage of ownership and history of this very elegant castle. Great service. Wonderful wondering around grounds and in buildings. Gardens need work.

Hidden Treasure
Decided on 2 nights stay at this location. Did not know about it previously, Found it on Hotels.com. It sounded great. It was great. The whole atmosphere was great and steeped in history. The gardens and grounds were great to stroll around in. We booked the standard room which was very nice and clean. Bed was a little firmer that we would have liked, but still managed to sleep well there. Its best feature has to be its restaurant. We dined there on 2 nights and each of them were totally outstanding. Pricy by regular standards, but you don't get regular standard service and food. Great value for a Michelin Star which it was. It was terrific. We had the best white wine we ever had, that was produced on location there. If you want to just get away from it all, and have time for yourself, or as a couple, go, you will not regret it. If you get tired of the hotel, take a wander outside the gate and you will find a little local bar where you can get a glass of wine for fifty cents. We did not get to see the cheese or wine making as its closed at weekends. So we made up for it by sampling generously.

Deux points très négatifs. Chambre : bruit au niveau du circuit de clim et impossible à arrêter extrêmement bruyant empêchant de dormir. J'avais promis à ma femme une nuit de rêve en 5 étoiles ce fut le calvaire... On est mal tombé, public essentiellement espagnol avec des enfants et très bruyant. Côté positif : Accueil très agréable, cadre agréable et atypique (le côté musée est attrayant) Piscine correcte. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas un bar à cocktails digne de ce nom.

El sitio es realmente precioso lo que al local le falta mas encanto, cuando llegas al anochecer hay muy poca iluminacion en la recepcion y el comedor todo marron oscuro y una decoracion muy sobria incluso la zona que da al comedor de noche podria estar con un poco de iluminacion Pero el personal y la estancia muy bien

El hotel y los jardines son para disfrutar de la tranquilidad del lugar, pero llega con una noche. La cena muy correcta, y el comedor, agradable . El desayuno es estupendo Puede q le sobre una estrella!

Bel hotel pour se reposer en paix.
Belle piscine, restaurant le soir de qualité accueil sympathique, très beaux jardins petit café sympathique juste a l entrée de l hotel,il manque juste des zones plus importantes de wifi pour tablettes pour que le séjour soit parfait.
