Three days in VVO

Posted Jun 2, 2017
Pros: Location, seaviews, decor, comfortable bed.
Cons: Front desk willingness to assist with things e.g.directions, city map etc.could assist people to enjoy VVO more. Breakfast service was non-existent.
Three nights at Azimut Vladivostok for a business trip. Hotel overall was a good choice and in a good location to the city. Bed was comfortable and room was cleaned immaculately each day. Staff service was functional without being impressive or memorable. Would stay again if required

Very nice hotel, close to train station

Posted Mar 11, 2017
Pros: Clean, quiet, great breakfast, good design. Close to restaurants, train station, art galleries, museums.
Cons: nothing comes to mind
Location: The hotel is up on a hill, overlooking one of the bays. Have good walking shoes in this city as you are up and down hillsides.
Great breakfast buffet! Quiet hotel, secure, newly renovated, nice design of rooms - loved the clothes hooks all along the wall. Great shelves for storage as well. Hotel staff spoke English so that was nice too. Quick walk to train station and quick walk to downtown. The walk up to the hotel is a bit on the steep side. Gorgeous views all around the city. We took in the opera and enjoyed it immensely. A walk to the end of the peninsula at the lighthouse is also worth it. When we were there, the ice was breaking up a bit and we watched birds and seals. The submarine museum is also worth the trip to the harbour.

A bit overpriced

Posted Sep 8, 2016 on Hotels
Good hotel to stay but the price was more for a 5 star hotel than 4 stars especially for the size of the rooms! Very small indeed! Everything else was comfortable.

Badly trained staffs, ripped off of taxi fee

Posted Sep 4, 2016
NOT WORTH THE PRICE!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! The staff of the hotel were badly trained. Although they were generally friendly, the manager was absolutely awful. The problem started when I asked for the transportation to and from the airport. For the taxi fee coming to the hotel, I had to ask several times in order to pay for it. The staff didn't know anything about the fee and I had to explain several times that I have to pay. The problem got worse when I was leaving for the airport. On the previous day, I asked for the taxi to the airport for 4 persons at a certain time and paid for the fee. However, on the next day, not only taxi did not arrive but also was saying that I had to pay for the taxi again. When I showed the receipt, the manager started asking that I need to pay again because he needed to call 2 cabs which would double the price I paid for the cab to the hotel. I tried to explain the matter but he insisted that I pay more or will not call the taxi. I could not believe that at a chain hotel like this, they would try to rip me off like this. It was the worst experience ever. I would strongly recommend not to go to this hotel.

Dear Guest, thank you for your reply! We made an investigation and found out that there were too many people for one cab, the taxi driver would not agree. That is why we ordered for you 2 cabs .Sorry for all the inconveniencies, we are improving our service and are looking forward to welcome you again as a guest, Monika Gigineishvili Front Office Manager AZIMUT Hotel Vladivostok
