Couldn't get out of there fast enough!Posted Sep 14, 2014
This was a bad experience. I checked in, went to the room and stayed about 2 minutes, I didn't even want my belongings to touch anything in the room. I passed at least 3 transients in the parking lot on the way to and from the room. There is a Salvation Army shelter about a block from the property it turns out. I immediately returned to the front desk and checked out. Unfortunately, I was still charged for a full 2 night stay.

Only if there's no other hotel availablePosted Jul 31, 2014 on Hotels
Hotels.com booked us a double queen. Upon arrival, we were informed only double full was available. One hour on the phone with hotels.com for $100 gift credit for our next booking. Unbelievable. I took a screen shot on my phone for proof. It's an old facility with no elevator. Breakfast was good, but not complimentary. Front desk help was nice. We moved to a double queen the next night. The room smelled of smoke. Other than that, not too bad. Ha

Rooms Are HorriblePosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels
Will never stay here again. Very dirty and disgusting. Stains all on the carpet, wallpaper peeling from the walls, hair all in the bathtub and sink, very strong smoking odor in the non smoking room.

Watch the Check InPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Location to Baylor University is great. Price is good. Cookies are great!
Cons: The front desk training. Rooms need an upgrade. More cookies at check in.
Location: Baylor, IHOP, Wendy's.
We prepaid through Expedia. But when my husband checked in, he did not pay attention and they charged him the cost of the room for 5 days again! He went down to desk three times last week, and we still did not see the credit on the card by Friday. They said if we don't see it by this Tuesday, call. Amazing how in a few minutes charges get posted, but a refund takes a week.

Hotel check in staff was very friendly but unfortunately that was the best thing about this hotel. We parked around back and after seeing the condition of the outside of the building I should have seen the red flags. My family and I continued inside past people drinking beer in the parking lot and entered the room which looked clean. Entering the bathroom the toilet seat was cracked and loose. We were on the 1st. floor room 156. I opened the curtains to the sliding glass doors, the glass was filthy, to look at the indoor garden which was nice. The pool was very cloudy and didn't look clean enough to swim in so we didn't. Much to the disappointment to my daughter. one of the skylights was broken. Also, the gym was closed with no explanation. Another thing about this motel is that there is people obviously living there by the week/month. This place is way overpriced not at all worth the money they are asking. I wonder if corporate ever visits their properties. I will be more careful in the future and read more reviews and check the property before settling in to the room. Perhaps I could have gotten a refund or partial refund

room was clean, but smelled like a smoking room. the front desk assured us it was non-smoking. Wi-Fi never worked in our room which was inconvenient. location was very convenient to Baylor. pillows were pretty uncomfortable, but bed was fine.

Just ok.Posted Jun 29, 2014
I saw this was a 4 star hotel and pics looked awesome for $100! Yeaaa, the beds are hard as a rock along with tiny pillows, everything smelled like smoke and don't plan on sleeping with people roaming around all night :/ def more like a 2.5 star for $85. Oh and maids clearly don't check the fridge because there was old fruit in ours still.

Cons: Major renovation
Location: Close to HEB and very close to Baylor
We had to suffer from the sound of the water in the toilet dripping all night, and it was not that clean
