Having never been to Waco, I picked a good place to stay! Walkable river front right across the street. Lots of open space to get the dogs some exercise. Quiet, clean room. And no pet fee!

The best part of my stay here was the $15 breakfast! The least I felt about my stay was housekeeping came @ 8am without a knock or announcement at the door. I felt this was very inconsiderate.

Pubic hair in the bathroom & towels. Room smelled musty. Beds made noise when you move on them. After being in the room for 30 minutes, house keeping manager walked in to inspect without knocking, and said their sheet said the room showed to be vacant...

The property is older and showing signs of wear. The shower was not hot and we had to keep adjusting the running toilet. This is the only hotel that would not let us split our bill on three credit cards— two other properties were booked through the same third party on this trip and had no problem splitting our bill. Apparently, the site is used by visiting football teams and pilots so they do not have to go out of their way to please guests. The lobby had complementary coffee in the lobby—but no decaf. Water was offered for $3. We were doing a road trip and stayed at four different hotels. This was our least favorite.

The sheets, linens and towels were old and thin. It was probably a relatively nice hotel in 1990. It was clean but old. The evening manager/front desk person was lovely and very helpful. He was very prompt and courteous with my request.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful part of Waco
We stayed in Waco 2 nights as we explored this amazing city. The room was clean, beds comfortable and we were some of the few there during this pre-holiday period so it was quiet. Very easy to get off the interstate and be right there close to sites. Lovely parks nearby right on the river.

The HVAC did not work. The refrigerator froze everything in it. The TV did not work. The elevator was out for a day. We were ready to move to a different hotel but the elevator was out and we were on the third floor. We were quoted a price for the room, but then when we checked out, the room charge went up every day and it was not a weekend. So NO, it was not satisfactory at all. I will never stay at a Courtyard by Marriott again.

Right across from Waco Civic Center, on the river. Quiet area of town, other facilities nearby. Outside appearance is well kept, inside at first appears well kept but during several day stay a couple of things became apparent. Carpets in hallways and elevator were spotless when I got there during the week. By the weekend they appeared not to have had proper attention. My room's shower was in need of some maintenance. The mold growing in the latex caulk used to seal grout lines was not real obvious until one took a second look. And it grew and spread during my stay. Booking rooms full of kids is asking for trouble. Noise and the mess hey left behind was a little disturbing.

Nice stay. Conditioner was out. Paid almost $400 for one night. Beds were fine. Shower fine. Definitely not worth $400 though. Baylor was in town so perfect time to price gauge.

Beautiful quaint hotel. Initially room given was messy but front desk staff was apologetic and provided us with a room overlooking a water fountain that had soothing sounds and beautiful greenery. Great place and great stay so far.

Old, run down, and noisy!
The A/C and the fridge we both extremely noisy. When the A/C turned on during the night it would wake you up. Then when it would turn off the fridge would start. Not a great experience that way. You could also hear the guests in the neighboring rooms just talking.

Location was wonderful. Thought our room always had a heavy unpleasant odor that smelt like it was trying to mask something unpleasant. Our room could have used a good airing out before we got in there.

For the amount of money you’re charged for our stay, there should be daily housekeeping especially during high attendance events like the Ironman. No need to sit with our trash in the room for 2 days
