Great location next to Petra entrance however...Posted Oct 21, 2015
Great location of the hotel and the usual resort like features of movenpick hotels however the cleanliness let down our short stay in Petra. The bathroom was filthy, there was blood in the toilet bowl when we arrived and even after requesting a cleaner to come and sort it out they just poured something down and was still visible for our whole stay! The coffee machine did not work and with long days walking around Petra this is exactly what you need to wake you up the morning after. The hotel staff were pleasant and accomodating but not of usual movenpick standards. We wanted to order room service food from the healthy lighter range they had marketed in their in room pamphlets however upon ordering they said non of that is available. Overall the stay in this hotel served its purpose but little details let it down.

Nice hotel in front of Petra entrancePosted Sep 14, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff.
Cons: The parking space.
The hotel location is great very close to the Petra entrance, also the staff are very kind. the rooftop restaurant has the best view of the sunset in Petra.

Dierekt beim Eingang von der Petra Park.Posted Sep 11, 2015

Facilities beautiful, but staff need educationPosted Sep 2, 2015
The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the facilities are good. The location is perfect, just one-minute walk from the entrance of the visitor centre. The only problem was the concierge: I asked the staff questions about transportation to Amman and Wadi Musa, including the price for such transportation and the timetable for buses, but they did not have any knowledge whatsoever. As a hotel mainly targeted for tourists, they should be ready to answer such basic questions.

The Moevenpick Resort Petra is 'World Class'. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return.

Posted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels

Best Location and Best Hotel in PetraPosted Aug 11, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at Moevenpick Petra and reserved two rooms. The location to Petra is the best location. The hotel was amazing and the breakfast was just as wonderful. I have to say that our check-in experience was great. I have to thank the front desk person for putting us in a amazing room. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family. I just wished I had time and stayed a little longer.

Awesome hotel with a great location to visit PetraPosted Aug 9, 2015 on Hotels
Excellent location for guests willing to visit Petra. Customer service was great, specially the waiters from the bar and breakfast. The room awesome, as we got an upgrade to a junior suite and it was really appreciated. Can't remember anything that we didn't like.
