This place is close to the beach and food. Within walking distance to nicer shopping and a variety of food choices

Best beach access on Waikiki!

Posted Jul 7, 2017
We didn't want to leave! We were closer to the beach than other places I've been that had properties directly on the beach! We were close to countless shops and restaurants too. The decor as mentioned in other reviews does need an update but the overall experience made up for that by far. Our room was very basic but had what we needed. We were there for our 14th anniversary. They upgraded our room. We were on the 25th (top) floor. The view over Waikiki Beach and the ocean was breathtaking! To top it off, we were there on the 4th of July! We had a front row seat for the fireworks! Service was good. It was so handy to have Tiki Grill & Bar on the property. It too had wonderful views and was adjacent to the pool. We will definitely stay here again when in Waikiki!

Good location for beach

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Pros: Great location to access the beach, straight across the road.
Cons: The rooms would benefit from a refurbishment as appearance is somewhat dated
Location: Beach is across the street, close to Honolulu Zoo and Diamond Head Crater.
A good hotel for beach access and the Diamond Head end of town. Staff were attentive and welcoming, and all services were good. Only comment is the rooms are somewhat "dated" in appearance and would benefit from up-date in comparison to other hotels we stayed in during our visit. However I would have not hesitation in recommending the Aston Beach Waikiki to others looking for accommodation.

Within walking distance of everything

Nice hotel. Close to everything... the beach, the zoo, the aquarium, great food, shopping strip and mall. You can walk. If you had a car, hotel parking was expensive. Only need a car if you were going to drive and see other parts of the island.

Aloha!!! Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much) for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We're happy you enjoyed our close proximity to the beach, tourist attractions, shopping outlets, and restaurants. Unfortunately due to limited space we’re unable to offer self-parking. Frequently we check competitive parking rates and price ourselves in order to remain competitive. Across the street from the beach; spectacular view

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: The location, the view. The hotel pool staff will check you out beach towels and beach chairs for free.
Cons: Say what the parking rate is on Expedia's website, so it is not an unpleasant shock when checking in.
Location: A quiet stretch of Waikiki Beach is across the street. There is an ABC store, a Starbucks, and a McDonald's all within a block.
The location is perfect: across the street from Waikiki Beach, where a seawall creates a shallow, wave-free swimming beach. Great for kids, laps, or floating on your back. I saw a humuhumunukunukuapuaa fish near the seawall. We had an ocean-view room, and the view was spectacular. My partner enjoyed the hotel pool. The room was small but clean, with a refrigerator. The lanai was tiny, with only one chair. The Tiki Room restaurant had no appealing vegetarian options; my partner enjoyed the prime rib. I walked 0.6 miles to Kaimana Beach, where I had a wonderful time snorkeling (not as good as Hanauma Bay, though). Beware the expensive parking fee, not included in the room rate. We barely used our rental car, so I'd suggest an airport shuttle instead unless you really want to explore Oahu. The hotel is a nice base from which to enjoy great beaches.

Aloha!!! Mahalo for staying with us and for sharing your experience. We're happy you enjoyed our views, beach amenities, and convenient location steps away from the famous Kuhio Beach "salt water pool". Unfortunately due to limited space we’re unable to offer self-parking. Frequently we check competitive parking rates and price ourselves in order to remain competitive. You can find our valet fees under "Optional Extras" on our Expedia page. We're sorry you were unaware and for the frustration this caused you. Furthermore we're sorry Tiki's did not have an appealing vegetarian options. Please rest assured your comments have been forwarded to the appropriate manage for their review and immediate attention. We appreciate your business and would be honor to host you and your partner again. Best wishes! Me Ke Aloha Pumehana, (with warmest aloha) Natasha Akee Guest Services Coordinator
