Good Value and Location

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Pros: The Staff, Location, coffee and water in the lobby, beach towels provided.
Cons: Noice of A/C, breakfast menu and hours, remodelled rooms
Location: Location is fantastic!
Honolulu is very expensive. This is not a fancy hotel, average, with a good location to get around. The beach is not that close, so be prepare to walk about four blocks. Our room was on the 10th floor, facing a condo building, with junk on the balconies. They serve the same breakfast every morning early, for about two hours. You will be charge an amenities fee daily, on top of your room amount. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was kept clean. This is a good place to stay if you don't expect too much, practical, and you are not travelling with children.

Good choice for a short stay in Waikiki

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Pros: Rooms are clean, nice and comfy. Location is convenient - close to everything.
Cons: The breakfast buffet. It's decent but nothing to write home about.
Location: Close to everything in Waikiki.. shops, beach, bars. Maybe a bit too close to Ala Wai Blvd which gets very busy with traffic and therefore noisy.
The hotel is in a convenient location, close to everything in Waikiki. The rooms are nice and comfy, quite modern, clean and well equipped, Staff is super-friendly and the breakfast buffet is alright - nothing too fancy though. The only potential issue is that your room might be very close to or actually facing a very busy street that gets quite noisy and if you like sleeping with open windows this is not ideal.. Overall Coconut Waikiki is recommendable.

The hotel has a 50's vibe in terms of design. Good location, nothing really wrong. Decent value for the money.

Pre-cruise stay.

Posted Nov 2, 2017
Pros: Location, helpful staff and breakfast.
Location: There were a few modest eating places right around the hotel. To enjoy a nicer dinner, you needed to walk about 4 to five blocks. Buses were handy a
We booked this hotel for five nights, prior to leaving on a cruise to Australia. The morning breakfast buffet was ample and included lots of choice. The staff were friendly (printing out tour tickets we purchased) and willing to assist us. The location was convenient to get to tour pick-up points, the ocean and a large shopping district. We did not swim and not being "on the beach" was fine with us.

Nice hotel. Walking distance to beach, shops etc

Posted Nov 1, 2017
Pros: Comfortable, good position
Cons: More electric jugs, especially in the rooms with fridges
Location: There is a convenience store on the next corner and it is only a ten minute walk to the beach and the centre of town.
The standard room is very small with no extras. When I commented to the first night staff guy, he was quite dismissive. But the rest of the staff were lovely and the next day we were offered an upgrade which was a great king size room. The buffet breakfast was great , the pool looked nice and it was a good position..a ten minute walk to the beach and one block to catch any bus.

This is perfect hotel for a stay in Waikiki. Not too big, just a few blocks from busy Waikiki so quiet, great location to everything. Staff was very helpful from moment we checked in to the time we left. Will definitely stay here next time! Mahalo Coconut Waikiki!

nice hotel well located

Posted Oct 31, 2017
Pros: The staff is professional and the chambermaids are trustworthy.
Cons: see above
Location: The hotel is well located. not far from the beach, the aquarium. Personally I went on foot to the "Diamond head".Full of good restaurants arvery close
You have a beautiful little terrace that must be highlighted. A transparent roof to protect guests on rainy days and paint the walls. The entrance doors are hard to open, why not replace them with sliding glass doors. Few hotels have the chance to be at the corner of a street. But the position is not exploited at all. The sign is barely visible. Why not install a luminous sign at the corner of the street so that it is visible from very far ( from both streets and from other side of the river ). Submit these ideas to a professional. I am not.
