Just OK

We were looking for a one night stay - arriving fairly late and leaving fairly early - so we were looking for something basic, clean and inexpensive - and really didn't expect too much. Checking in was great - friendly staff at the desk but unfortunately the first room we were assigned smelled horrible. I "think" it might have been cigarette smoke but it was also quite musty.. It was horrible - I walked in and walked out immediately. After an apology, we were promptly assigned another room and it was clean and acceptable. Checking out, the staff was very friendly as well. The only other thing that really stuck out to me was that the hallway carpets were stained very badly (both hallways we were in - because of the two different rooms).

Dated Motel

The staff was pleasant and helpful. They even schedule a taxi pic up for us to the airport. The rooms however were not pleasant. They were not only very dated, but the ceiling and rug had water stains. The window curtains were stained. The shower curtain had cigarette burns. Right next door is an old motel that has a bar on the first floor. There were always vagrants hanging around and we had to walk through them every time we came and went from our room.

Run down but clean and comfortable.

Pros: Clean with big and comfortable room.
Cons: Get rid of extra charges and include in room rate so that there are no surprises.
Location: Good location.
First impressions weren't good. Run down, and bit shabby but when we went to the room it was big, comfortable and clean. If you want a cheap hotel, it is OK but watch for the resort fees. I wasn't expecting the extra charges with an expedia booking.

Older hotel a little out of the way

Clean great staff. No frills. A little out of the way but also a little quieter. Older everything not for high maintanece people. Good value for price.

No Wifi, but close to stores etc.

Pros: Clean
Cons: Put Internet in each room. IE: Ethernet Cable or at least have wifi.
Location: It is close to shops, restaurants etc
My main gripe is that there is no internet in the rooms as advertised. I was told they were going to be doing renovations, but they could have put a router in the courtyard or a booster. The hotel is within walking distance of many stores and shops.

Cheap hotel close to the intnational market

I was travelling with my doddlers one 3 yrs old and one 1yr old as soon as we got there they checked us in early around 1pm coz they know we were tired travelling all the way from Canada the other told me there is no parking but the other one told me to double park. That was nice.. I told them to clean up my room but they didn't however they changed my towels but did not even clean up the garbage. No internet inside the room!!! You have to stay in the pool area so you can get the WiFi coverage. But so far it was ok coz the staff are friendly and the people are nice and the pool area is good place for kids to swim

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable room. The ceiling leaked during heavy rain periods, so suggest dry season only!

Lovely small hotel

Staff here are excellent they have a wealth of local knowledge. My room opened up onto the pool area which was ideal for myself and young daughter as no taking the lift to get to the pool. The locality was also very good and close to so many of the locations, actually a 12 minute walk to the Waikiki beach. In all we loved it and would visit again.

If you think about PRICE and LOCATION, it's good!

Pros: Very convenient, close to supermarket, shopping area, beach and bus stop. Not noisy at the swimming pool. I was able to cook a bit in the kitchen.
Cons: The building is pretty old so shower or bent could be improved. Insullation of the wall could be improved because i could he next door.
Location: Vietnam Pho noodle, Supermarket, Subway, Ross(department store), ABC market, Coffee shop, Bar.
I stayed 5 nights with my 4-year-old daughter. Good price, friendly stuff, close to supermarket, bus stop, and only two blocks from main street. We wanted to go out and enjoy Honolulu so it was perfect choice. We got food at supermarket and cooked twice at the hotel.

Extremely bare bones and basic.

Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness, needs major updating, appliances need to be maintained better.
We knew we were in for a 2-star hotel experience, so we weren't expecting much from this hotel at all. We read the reviews and pretty much everything everyone else said was on point. All this hotel has going for it is location - amazing location that's less than a 5 mins walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Other than that... Our room smelled like formaldehyde the minute we walked in. Carpet was so dirty and had chip crumbs on it which meant they likely hadn't vacuumed before we arrived. Outlets were falling off their hinges and I was scared that the stove (more like hotplate) was going to catch fire so didn't bother using it. Appliances were rackety, wobbly and old. Washroom looked very old with chips in the wall, chips on tiles on the floor, and stains on the ceiling. The bed however was super comfortable, but would rather not think of whether the sheets were clean or not. The pool area looked nice, but I didn't feel comfortable using it as there were some sketchy people (I had a few dog whistles from some scruffly looking men without shoes sitting in the entry way and one lady asking for change) always lingering around the pool, and the lobby/front entrance which the pool is clearly visible from. Not sure if they were actual guests at the hotel but made it uncomfortable everytime we entered. We lasted 2 of the 4 nights we had planned to stay there, didn't care about not getting refunded for the other 2 nights because we just wanted to get out ASAP.
