Amazing condo with ocean view

Posted Jul 18, 2017
We spent 5 nights in this condo with a great ocean view, a 5 minute walk from the grounds to the private beach, and room was stocked with beach chairs and umbrellas making things convenient. A very close walk to the shopping center and Luau next door. Overall a great experience and highly recommend staying here. We'll definitely be returning in the very near future.

Excellent condo near a lovely beach

Posted May 17, 2017
Beautiful location-Condo was excellent with a great view from the lanai. A very short walk down to Ulua beach, which was great for snorkeling. Grounds were immaculate and staff was always friendly and helpful.

Stayed in room 208. Great Ocean View.

Pros: Near great beaches.
Cons: These condos sell for $2 million, it is ok to update them, especially considering the high price paid to stay.
Location: Golfing, the very expensive Shops at Weilea, awesome beaches and water activities.
Near the road, so a lot of car noise all night long (it was tolerable though). You need to go to the office about 1 mile away for keys, then register with security at the gate. The condo was clean, but the kitchen was beset with these tiny crazy ants. You need to keep the kitchen really clean-the ants want sugar and water. The kitchen had new appliances, but the condo was dated from the 1980s. There was a coffee maker, toaster, plates, flatware, pots & pans. The refrig/freezer produced ice, and the maid came daily to replace towels. We washed laundry daily with their stacked washer/dryer machine. There was plentiful parking, and it was an easy walk to the awesome beach. Great for boogie boarding, snorkeling (saw turtles daily), and swimming. Do not be surprised at how busy the Weilea walkway gets, or the beaches. However, the young families usually thin out around lunchtime. Safeway is about 5 miles to the north in Kihei. About 30 minutes from Maalaea Harbor for a memorable trip to Molokini. As you can imagine, it was very busy during spring break, traffic to Lanhaina can be well over an hour most days. The state has been cracking down on people selling home fruits/veggies on the roadside, so not many of them left. The island has become more commercialized, and is not much different from a Miami suburb. Some of the Aloha Spirit has departed. A nice vacation condo, but will likely not return.

Great location, spacious rooms, good service

Posted Mar 22, 2017
Pros: See above
Cons: Expedia said we could have two adjacent condos, but we were unable to get that. Very inconvenient for schlepping stuff. Make it possible!
Location: See above
Right in front of the complex there is excellent snorkeling. Some even saw turtles. It also has a nice sandy beach for swimming (good for kids) and boogie boarding, wonderful sunset view, two pools, ocean side promenade path, mall with Lappert's ice cream within walking distance, Safeway four miles away and smaller grocery closer. All in all a perfect location for our family. The condo itself had spacious rooms and patio. We used the walk- in closet for a baby's room. The dining table accommodated all ten in our party (from two condos). We payed extra for a fabulous ocean view. Wailea is known for its sunsets. An added nice surprise was that toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc. were supplied, and they came in daily to see if we needed anything, clean up, empty trash and change towels (important at the beach).

We had a blast. The unit was clean and spacious with all the amenities, though decor was a bit dated. Close to the beach ( 2 min walk) and two pools and a jacuzzi, with private beach side sitting areas. Highly recommended. Wish there were more umbrellas available on the beach.

Beautiful Condo Close to the Beach

Posted Dec 20, 2016
Pros: Close to beach, handy shower and kitchen at the cabana by the beach, walking distance to Shops at Wailea. Very peaceful!
Cons: We checked in at night, it was very dark, hard to find condo. The next day, it took awhile to find the best direct route to the beach from our unit.
Location: Very close to the beach, walking distance to the Shops at Wailea. Short drive to Kihei.
Although we'd been to Maui several times, we had never stayed in the Wailea area until this trip. I know that each condo at the Wailea Elua is individually owned, and I can't speak for the other units, but ours was lovely! Our one bedroom condo (302) was beautifully decorated and clean, and we had a lovely view of the water from our living room and lanai. There were lots of nice touches that the homeowner included, like a first aid kit, boogie boards, and beach chairs. The staff was WONDERFUL, especially housekeeping and the gentlemen at the security gate. So helpful and friendly! The condo is wonderful, location is a short walk to Ulua and Mokapu beaches, and there are convenient shops nearby. If we choose to stay in Wailea again (we usually stay by Lahaina) we would definitely stay at the Wailea Elua.
