Friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Very helpful with local information. Food of a good standard, Excellent view from our room. Even though it was on the other side of the river was quite easy to access any transport across to Liverpool via public transport which saved a fortune on Car Parking. Room very comfortable, clean and warm.

Excellent option when visiting LiverpoolPosted Dec 8, 2017 on Hotels
Only here for one night and it was a very pleasant stay. Owner was very helpful and the room clean and comfortable. I read previous reviews and have to agree with comments on being a great place to stay and how helpful Dave is. Definitely stay again when next visiting Liverpool.

An excellent alternative to costly LiverpoolPosted Dec 6, 2017
Pros: The owner was really helpful and cooked the best breakfast ever.
Cons: Some heating in the shower room.
Location: Across the road from Seacombe Ferry. A short drive into New Brighton to beaches, shops, cinema. A ferry, or bus through the Mersy tunnel to Liverpool.
Don't judge this book by the cover. There's not much curb appeal but there is a free, large, rear car park. Once inside the hotel is bright, clean and very welcoming. Our room contained a king size and single bed but was still spacious. The ensuite was large and the shower really clean. Slight draw back, no heating in the shower room but we just left the door ajar, problem solved. Breakfast is served in a bright conservatory. What a breakfast! Don't expect speed, this is a fresh cooked breakfast with the best ingredients; haven't tasted such good bacon in years. Give yourself time it deserves to be savoured. Crossing to Liverpool is easy. In the summer there's plenty of ferries but we used busses. The stop is only 2 minutes away and although there is a change in either Birkenhead or Liskeard it only takes 30 minutes. They run until late so even with the fare you're still quids in from a hotel charging twice the rate in the city. I'd use The Liver VIew again with no hesitation.

Lovely breakfast and good facilitiesPosted Dec 4, 2017
The hotel had all facilities and was in good, clean condition. Hotel management was really helpful. The hotel is across the Merseyside, ferries are every hour across. There are buses or you can get a taxi through the tunnel, which doesn't take too long. We had a lovely weekend and would definetly return. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made.

Really made to feel welcome in this B&B. Stayed as was attending the football at Anfield. Great size room spacious and clean with a lovely view of the Mersey at night and Morning.
Excellent for Liverpool commutingPosted Nov 20, 2017 on Hotels
Excellent all round, perfect for visiting Liverpool as you are right next to the Ferry Port. Nothing in the immediate vicinity but we were staying for Liverpool so it didn’t matter. Local travel card £5ish for the day covers the Ferry and buses whilst over in Liverpool too. We had a night out and the Taxi far home was £17 so affordable. Can’t recommrnd the hotel enough, but for visiting Liverpool rather than the area it’s in. We will DEFINITELY be staying again. Thank you.
The Liver View is a great place to stay!Posted Nov 2, 2017 on Hotels
Wonderful place to stay just across the Mersey River from Liverpool! The Liver View is an older hotel that has been quaintly refurbished, with very comfortable beds. The rooms are very adequate, especially for what you pay, and the "Full English" breakfast is filling and delicious, as well as the coffee! Dave and his lovely dog, Brisco, are wonderful hosts. Dave is full on information and suggestions on how to spend your day in Liverpool, especially if you are there for the Beatles' 'Magical Mystery Tour' which is a great overview of the early Beatles in the Liverpool area. The 'Spaceport' and Mersey Ferries are about 100 yards away, and yes, they do play Gerry & the Pacemakers "Ferry Across the Mersey" on the speakers as you cross the river. Great view of the big city from our hotel room window, especially at night. Will recommend this to all my friends that might travel to the Liverpool area. Thanks, Dave, for a great two-night stay.
