Old hotel that's been remodeled

Staff at check in was not kind and made me feel like I was an imposition. Room was updated and very clean. Only problem was shower floor filled up with water because floor wasn't sloped to help with drainage. Breakfast had very few selections and did not taste good.

Genteel & Gracious!

The staff at the Fairfield Inn by Mariott, in Wallingford, CT were conspicuously gracious in absolutely every encounter. They greeted me warmly, solved all of my problems efficiently, and went out of their way to seek any chance of making my stay more pleasant. The room was scrupulously cleaned every day, the physical facilities are in very good shape, and there was every amenity one could possibly want (except for a Hot Tub). I found my week with the staff in this Hotel to be a congenial experience in every way; it is a genteel environment with a faultlessly gracious staff!

Nice, clean hotel.

Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Different carpet? (Didn't care for the pattern of carpet, but it was clean!)
Location: Vineyard nearby, near to highway.
It was very nice. Staff was very kind and gracious.

Very nice stay

Cons: Check the hearing unit
Everything was fine but we found the heating element a bit noisy at night. Nevertheless we would go back

The staff were so warm and inviting

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff were so accommodating. The amenities were lovely. Breakfast was great.

Put in a room that was noisy and did not sleep

Pros: Staff was nice and the morning breakfast good.
Cons: Remove the room I was given for guest use. Weight room was great.
Location: Nothing nearby, and Cheshire is not a good place nearby.
I woke at 4am and requested another room which I was moved to and then told at checkout to pay more money. I did not get an adjustment for the first night which was terrible because no manager was at the hotel at checkout Sunday morning. I am disappointed with the first room and the water pipes and ice machine ran all night. Staff was excellent but the room assignment was bad. They need to use a different room for proper sleep.
