Best beginning of a vacation!Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
We stayed at the Chateau for the first three nights of our European vacation. The idea was to just recover from the time change of EST in the USA. We had some of the best massages and body treatments ever! The staff of the spa, front desk and restaurant took kind, personal care of us. The food in the restaurant was wonderful. The menu is limited, but everything is prepared perfectly. Even the lovely lake is perfect, just large enough for an afternoon stroll. We can't wait to return.

The swimming pool was closed due to renovation but was not informed at the time of booking. The hotel reception staff unwelcoming despite the service staff were very good.

An unforgettable experiencePosted Aug 1, 2015
Pros: Staff constant availability, cleanliness, and overall beauty
Location: Being a small town, like in the country for Canada, there is really not much to do or see except excellent restaurants.
This hotel is everything you want when looking for comfort, ease of access, staff availability and their will to ensure your enjoyment. Rooms are spacious and kept immaculately clean. The atmosphere in the Chateau is a happy one. Overall, not only would I recommend it to anyone visitingBelgium, but I would gladly return myself.

Lovely setting, expensive extras.Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Position overlooking the lake. Spacious modern rooms. Delicious food, well presented.
Cons: Provide tap water in the restaurant. Provide real milk on the courtesy tea-tray. Remove the fee for use of the swimming pool
Location: Convenient for visiting the site of the battle of Waterloo.
Modern, comfortable and spacious rooms and dining room overlooking the lake. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the dinner. However, there was a substantial, per person, charge to use the swimming pool ( and the rest of the spa facilities) so we didn't feel like paying this just for a swim before breakfast. Having specifically chosen the hotel as it had a pool, this was disappointing. The hotel makes a lot of its eco tourism but we were refused tap water in the restaurant and were told that only bottled water was provided. These were half-litre bottles for the price of half a starter.

Malgré le personnel accueillant les plateaux et bouteilles vides restent 24h dans le couloir. Odeurs désagréables dans l ascenseur petit déjeuner satisfaisant.
