Visit to Waterloo historic site

Posted Aug 28, 2014
Great location for battlefield visit, historic building and very good restaurant. About 7 KM from Waterloo train station - good walk with a pack! Outside the village area- be best if you have a car. Staff are friendly and helpful. A little expensive for the room rate but worth it for the location.

The hotel is nice, but the real winner is the lovely restaurant attached to the hotel.

Good location for battlefield tour

Posted Jul 9, 2012 on Hotels
We were kept waiting because no one was on the desk to check in. The room was noisy as it faced the road & it would have been nice to have air-conditioning as it was very warm. On the plus side the restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent, the car park is a good size and the hotel is very well positioned for doing a battlefield tour.

Next to Waterloo battlefield

Posted Jun 13, 2012 on Hotels
Chose this hotel as right next to Waterloo battlefield which we wanted to visit before heading for the ferry home. We dont have sat nav and got lost trying to find it. Need to follow signs for the battlefield 'Butte de Lion' if you come from the Waterloo town direction. Hotel has restaurant, bar and does breakfast. Rooms clean and comfortable, slight signs of wear and tear but only minor. Enjoyed our stay.

It is a nice hotel and restaurant. The hotel staff was wery helpful. It is in short walking distance to the Waterloo memorial. The room was on the third floor. And it was quite warm in the attic.

Kleines Hotel für Kurzaufenthalt

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Äußerer Flair. Nettes Personal.
Drei weitere Gaststätten in direkter Nachbarschaft. Keine deutschsprachige Fernsehsender.
