Pleasant overnight stay

Family Raiders Road trip from Southern Cali Hotel is renovated with modern clean rooms. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Will definitely stay here again

Great location close to downtown

Location: Great downtown to walk around, shop, and many wonderful places to dine.
We have stayed here many times over the years for events we attend in Walnut Creek. Recent remodeling left the rooms feeling uninviting. It is clean, the bed comfortable, but the seating is stark and uncomfortable. Stiff, uncomfortable bench seating against the walls, unable to use chairs for reading or watching TV, resulting in using the bed for the only place to watch TV or read. The Buffet and breakfast was very good and the server very friendly and served us very well.( As she had many times before.)

Bar and restaurant was extremely slow. Not crowded so don't know why we had very long wait.

AARP-Expedia failed me!!!

Inspire the fact that AARP-Expedia emailed me a confirmation for my reservation when I arrived Marriott had no record of it!!! They were completely booked! I was staying the night for an early morning surgery. Fortunately the front desk supervisor was sympathetic to my needs and found my wife & I a room. He gave us a better rate and in addition gave us a $20 voucher for dinner. Very disappointed with AARP-Expedia!!!

OK hotel right next to freeway

Had an odd shaped room at end of hall right next to freeway, and I mean right next to freeway! Restroom had sliding door that was difficult to open when inside. Not our typical Marriott experience...

Needs a total remodel

Pros: Good location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms very dark. Weird colors in elevator, lobby and rooms as nothing matched. Weird smell in all areas.
Nice staff. Dark rooms, odd smell, dining room closed...

Modern, enjoyable hotel in Walnut Creek

Pros: Super helpful staff. Great food at the restaurant. Fun bar and lobby vibe.
For the architecture fans out there, you'll appreciate the early 80s vibe. Big gold-glassed atrium-style lobby, bar, and restaurant. But the hotel has obviously undergone serious upgrades to bring it into the modern, 21st century aesthetic.

Pros: Close to BART and the Maserati dealer
Cons: See above "Write about your experience"
The only way to enter the driveway is coming south on north main street. They should also allow cars to enter from Parkside drive because it was a real hassle to enter with a car unless you are coming south on Main Street. They had cones and signs to try to block people form entering on Parkside drive, but if your coming any direction except south on North Main Street, this is the easiest way to enter.
