Missing management... Avoid this shady place!!!

Posted Aug 3, 2016
So I currently live out of state and tried to contact the owners of this hotel for at least 2 months prior to my stay because I had paid in full in advance for an upcoming vacation.. Well my husband got sick and ended up in the hospital for a few weeks so sadly I had to cancel our vacation plans..All I wanted to do was see if they were willing to work with me on possible future dates.. Oh no..every single time I called a house keeper would answer the phone and say no managers were on site.. I called daily for weeks and got the same tired story.. Well I stayed here in the past and it was okay.. I'll never ever stay here again and warned my family members, who were just in SC, not to stay at this hotel because it's shady.. These hotels need to be careful with how they handle customers.. Without us there would be no need for hotels. I'm headed to numerous sites to spread the word an warn travelers about this place.. Again it's unacceptable to treat people this way. Again I would not stay here!!

Nightmare at the Ramada Inn

Posted Jun 13, 2016 on Hotels
Visited the Ramada a few weeks ago on a road trip to Florida with the family. We only stayed for one night. The hotel was extremely filthy, barely wiped down, with the table sticky. Woke up in left immediately, didn't notice at first and left a bit itchy. After making it down to Georgia, discovered I was covered in large welts all over my body, spider bites. My husband also suffered from the bites, although significantly less than me. Absolute nightmare, would not reccomend.

bugs

Posted May 15, 2016 on Hotels
Room #115: We arrived about 12:30am as stayover on drive from FL to NY. My adult son noticed a tiny pinpoint which he thought was bedbug on cover of bed which was white cloth. I took back of my fingernail to it, it smushed with dark smudge, so was definitely some type of bug. I went to the two white cotton cased pillows at headboard not covered by bedspread, turned them and saw three bugs. I think two were baby roaches, though my son's internet search has him convinced they were bedbugs. They were 1/8" long, light brown with antennae. The third was much smaller, more likely bedbug. We grabbed our bags, returned to front desk, and asked for refund. Since I'd already charged my credit card with my reservation through this site, I asked for a written confirmation that there would be no charge, which was supplied. The night clerk said she'd close the room until it could be properly cleaned. Bugs seem to be a problem in the south. At another motel in VA near the NC border of I-95, as we were trying to check in a few nights before this, a woman returned to the front desk asking for her driver's license back. It was also around midnight. I told my son people don't leave their hotel rooms at midnight in a huff unless there is a real problem. I said to go ask her what was wrong. She told him roaches in the bathroom when she entered. js

Good value at a discount price.

Pros: Convenient to highway. Free breakfast.
Cons: Eggs and sausage for breakfast! It's supposed to be Ramada.
This is a great travel stop on trips back and forth from FL to North. Rooms are clean. Staff are great. They used to offer protein with the free breakfast, but now it's just gluten crap. They always make us go upstairs with expedia, which can be a problem for elderly travellers. Next time I'll try a special request.

The room was very humid. Sheets felt damp. Hit water was barely warm. Bathroom door was dirty.
