Nice bed and breakfast

Posted Sep 8, 2016
Pros: Very comfortable rooms
Location: The Maple Lodge is quite a long way from Wanaka so if you want to go in to town you do need to drive or get a taxi which is about 20 dollars.
Stayed for seven nights in August 2016 to ski and see the area. The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable about the town and surroundings.

quiet location away from town

Posted Apr 3, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: peaceful setting, friendly informative, professional hosts, cycles for hire, hot tub, laundry facility, good variety of breakfast.
Location: location is in mature garden grounds, quiet, peaceful setting; a 25 mins walk to puzzling world then 15 more to town, 2 bikes to hire, woods to walk
a very nice, relaxed stay with hosts paul and berni providing a friendly welcome, helpful advice throughout the duration of the time there on places to visit, activities to persue, resraurants, cafes, walking, cycling, a host of great ideas, or just relax with a book or go in hot tub, have a beer, wine on site, walk the well stocked gardens and woodland walks. highly recommend for a comfortable, relaxed stay and town is only a short taxi ride away

Fantastic lodge with stunning views

Posted Mar 10, 2016 on Hotels
Lovely B&B and a great base for exploring nearby Wanaka. Stayed two nights at this fantastic lodge with stunning views all round. The hosts were extremely helpful in recommending trips and places to eat. Good choice of breakfast available (hot and cold) and complimentary afternoon tea served daily is a lovely touch. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Pros: Rural, quietness, tea and scones on day of arrival cooked breakfast hot tub outside
Cons: Small fridge, iron and ironing board, A generator when loss of power,Toiletties replacement every night,A bottle of water everyday on bedside table
Location: Thia restaurant very recommended drive through town at the roundabout Puzzle World
Rural quietness I thought it was a little over priced but other would properly see it different

Alpine retreat

Posted Sep 16, 2015 on Hotels
Stunning views of the Alps surrounding this area make for a magic morning view from your room. Fabulous breakfast and wonderful hosts. Comfy room and bed. I do like a fridge in room so that was the only thing missing. Not really even noticed though in the beautiful surrounds.

Beautiful location excellent facilities

Posted Aug 18, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: well designed including ski drying room inside the main building.
Cons: A very trivial Providing Mugs as well as cups in the room for the tea and coffee would allow bigger drinkers to have a mug instead of making two cups.
Location: Easy access to Cardrona and Treble Cone for skiing. Take the Milford Sound Fly Cruise trip it is a must. The Paradisio Cinema is not to be missed
Paul and Berny made us very welcome and were great with recommendations for dining locations in Wanake. Also very helpful with bookings for tours. You have to have the scones for afternoon tea wonderful!

Great spot

The owners were so sweet and helpful. They clearly put in a lot of effort to make their guests happy. The breakfast was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and located just a few minutes drive from the lake. I'd definitely stay here again!
